hi,

I really want the 10.3.1 OS but my network isn't the best for os update (giffgaff - UK) so I came accord this thread but I know actually know what those links are for (bar files) and what am I suppose to to will those 3 bar files I downloaded? can I update my passport manually rather than wait for my network? if so, How do I do it?

If you want to update your Passport to 10.3.1 the easiest way to go is:

I couldn't find a faq showing how to upgrade using the debrick file and Sachesi. I assumed it was the same as debricking a phone or PlayBook.

Any hints on how to do it on a Mac with Sachesi? Do I have to extract the debrick signed file and load it with a PC using cfp?

Step 0: Download all three files
Step 1: Use sachesi to extract apps from debrick file
Step 2: Include the the Core OS, and Radio in the folder where the apps just extracted
Step 3: Drag the folder over to the install tab in sachesi.
Step 4: ??????
Step 5: Profit.

I'm not a Mac guy, but assuming you're running Windows, make yourself an autoloader with the debrick and radio files.

You can definitely make an autoloader using sachesi for mac. all you need is the above files, and then click here:

I thought as much, but you still need to be running windows to run the autoloader anyway.

I had tried that yesterday and the autoloader would not run in XP. It gave an error about being too big for memory. My old Thinkpad run the other autoloader I get from links posted here.

I gave up and put the latest 10.3.0 on it using an autoloader.

Anybody noticed the .signed file namings after extracting from the .bars ?

The Z10-2/3/4 Debrik, Core and Radio Names include a "EPLUS" phrase.

Because EPlus is the 3rd biggest German mobile phone company is this
OS part of the Germans "Extra" branch ?

That's always the case. Why are you unzipping the app bar files?

I'm collecting all extracted .signed files on a seperate HD since OS 10.2
like thurask did, but no autoloaders these i make OTF if needed.
( to many infected, broken or faked autoloaders around )
You never know... need to downgrade etc...

And NO "EPLUS" is the first time appearing as filename part and NOT
always the case, i looked at my collection .

Sorry. I was referring to the "signed" part, not the "eplus".
