My findings on Z10STL100-2/10.3.0.1154

1. Fastest BlackBerry 10 os ever.
2. Smooth keyboard swipes.
3. Notification issue is sorted and works spot on.
4. Slight delay noticed while swiping inside Gallery (pictures).
5. HDR clicks faster and better now (not much of holding the device still).
6. Battery life is amazingly improved from 10.2.1 days.
7. BB Link restores data well on this.
8. Android runtime feels smoother too.
9. No more issues on Memory leaks.
10. Makes you proud to use a BlackBerry once again!

That's 10 reasons to upgrade to this leak if you are a qualified geek.
Do remember it is not official yet, so if you aren't comfortable with sideloading, destructive/non destructive os update and autoloaders etc... Then wait for official release.

Else, you know what to do now!

THE "incoming call screen resolution" is messed up.I had this same problem on 1052. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I did a clean autoload with security wipe. I thought 1154 would solve this problem. :-(

It is basically a square incoming call screen.

In also have some other issues that lead me to downgrade.

1. Phone failed to wake up occasionally. Power button won't work, swipe up also no response.
2. Screen rotation stopped working after a while.

installed this and restored only apps. Here's my findings:
1. It seems keyboard can't handle two languages at the same time.
2. Flicking up some words sometimes dont work (like just now, the "don't" was keyed as "dont")
3. Swiping from the bottom up to leave app sometimes don't work.
4. Pressing space bar sometimes don't work.
5. Cannot open android app notification from hub

I've had probs with the flicking of words too on my Z30....it keeps putting in a letter next to the word I want to flick and then the spacebar has a word I don't want to pick. And I've noticed issues with some android apps too like Instagram that I didn't have a prob with with my release version of 10.2.1 and it's the same version of the apk I installed. So there is something different with the Android runtime. Otherwise, everything else is good. BTW, I never did a restore from backup, clean install.

Using the most current official version of BBM when you open a chat with a contact you would normally see the BBM video or bbm voice icon lit up in green if that contact was on line and able to receive bbm calls or videos. Now the icon is surely there but it's not green anymore, it's white. bug? Normal? Just me?

P. S. Calls and video still work.

Anyone see similar oddities.?

I think they're going for the flat look all around which would make it devoid of color. I personally liked the green too - standard 'active / online' coloring. If they're offline, it just grays out.

On earlier 10.2.1 the caller ID would be closer to the answer/end buttons, giving more screen estate to the picture. 10.3 throws the icons higher up so they interfere with the picture displayed. Really sucks if you have a picture with white/light colors in the left area as it obscures the caller ID.

When I tap and hold a phone number and adds it to contacts, the number goes to "work" field. If i want to move it to "mobile" field, tap and hold the number to highlight but it doesn't show the cut, copy options.

Two things here:

- BlackBerry has always defaulted newly added numbers as 'Work' numbers because it's primarily a business phone. That's just how they are.

- Why would you copy/paste to change the field when all you have to do is hit the 'Work' drop-down box and change it to 'Mobile'? That's what I do.

FYI

Couldn't unlock (network) my Q5 on10.3.0.1154 !

Got the code from a reputable service "Freemyblackberry.com" but short or long codes didn't work. Finally realized at 6 tries left that it may have to do with the 10.3 update. Dumped the OS back to 10.2 and then the unlock code worked.

10.3 back in now and my unlocked Q5 is running fine.

I've only been running 10.3.0.1154 for a few hours on my Z10 STL100-3 but what I've noticed thus far is as follows:

1) Typing isn't as smooth as 10.2.1.
2) Flicking words from the keyboard works but sometimes doesn't. Seems to be an intermittent issue.
3) Both space bar and send keys require double taps. Again, seems to be an intermittent issue.
4) The hub and some other areas within the OS are definitely looking iOS like. At the moment I'm not a fan but I could get use to it.
5) Android Runtime is fantastic. Much smoother and faster at loading apps.
6) Panoramic photos is awesome.
7) lock and home screen wallpapers.....love it!
8) Music app seems interesting....
9) Deleting messages within the hub is easier.
10) Not a fan of the flat icons. Again, very iOS like.

I really miss the 10.0 receive call screen, It's much better than now.
Swipe up or down, simply the best.

After full day of usage, here are my thoughts. In my first post here I said that system is a little bit jumpy and not that smooth, but now after the system settled itself, I can say that it's a little bit smoother. However, not a big (if any) difference compared to 10.2.1. One of the things I noticed as being improved, is battery life, and I'm so glad for that. There are other tiny improvements related mostly to visuals and UI solutions. Also, I still haven't encountered any bug so far, in any application. Amazon appstore is working perfectly for me, since the first boot. Maybe it's something related to way you installed this leak. I did a clean install via autoloader. The biggest letdown of this system for me are the icons and their design. I love flat design but this is just lifeless and boring...

So the calibration issue is solved?
