We don't know. In fact, I'd call that the most interesting question for the company, since it stands to change consumer perception.

What I will say is that it improves the odds considerably. 10.2 will have pretty close to the latest Android runtime. What THAT means is that instead of releasing old, creaky Android ports that a publisher may not want to support, they can port over their latest and greatest.

Basically, fingers crossed, but this definitely gives us better chances.

It appears that BlackBerry is working on a native IG app internally so at some point we will see that, as to snapchat etc you would have to talk to the developers.

It's up to the developers, which may or may not be BlackBerry (depending on how that Instagram kerfuffle pans out). Maybe one day BlackBerry can developer their own CarlosDangerChat SnapChat client.
