I read the article posted earlier today BlackBerry OS 10.2 rollout starting this week | CrackBerry.com

I understand they stated: US: Starting this winter

Does that mean carriers in the US will only receive the update this winter and then still have to go through carrier testing? - or - Are carriers in the US receiving the update today, going into the testing phase and then only anticipating releasing to phones in the winter?

They probably already have the update; BlackBerry is likely going off history and learned their lesson with the Z10 release and 10.1/10.1 MR updates in the US. There's nothing keeping one set of carriers from received updates at the same time as every other carrier in the world, unless it's a self-imposed restriction.

US carriers I assume already have the 10.2 OS to test. I read the "winter" comment to be the expected release timeframe

I see no logical reason for BB to hold back the 10.2 from US Carriers. As others have stated, I'm sure they have the update, but are just taking longer to approve and roll out

Oh well, we(U.S.) already know who's going to be the last carrier to release the OS....Old Blue(at&t).
