That can't be real

Hard to believe, but I hope it's true. I'm waiting for the official release of 10.2

Lol at OP

10.1 showed a huge difference with the battery and many will be looking forward to 10.2. Bb10 OS is getting better and better.

Umm 10.1 made the battery worse? At least for me, compared to 10.0.1...85

I'm definitely looking forward to 10.2 as well. I'm hoping to get the same results with my battery life.

I believe it. For me, just turning off LTE and location services got me from 10 hours to 24 hours.

Are you using the leaked version?

Superman?

You were in 3G mode. Very different from 4G LTE. I'm with AT&T and I can't turn change that setting.

I'm experiencing that same thing running 10.2.
Before I wasn't able to make it home sometimes and my battery would just die around 5pm on 10.1. Now by 12 midnight, sometimes depending on how heavily I used the z10, it sits around 50-60% sometimes more if I used the phone less on 10.2. I'm a very happy camper.
This update has really improved battery life for me. And by the way I have bluetooth and wifi on all the time. I don't take them off and on 4G network. Screen brightness is half way. I dreaded the z10 battery before but not anymore.

Prolly because it doesn't have as many functions as a full fledged OS? I hear 10.2 is only available as dev betas and they don't have some features
STL 100-1 10.1.0.273
Today I unplugged at 6:30am and know it is 7:59 pm and I did didn't use any emailing but some messaging and a lot of phone calls and some music and 5 minutes gaming and at 7:59 pm while I am typing this now it is at 87 percent I also did a little of browsing and was on Crackberry for a long time .

Sounds unreal. Normally only letting the phone idle for that amount of time would use that much battery. I wonder if your battery shows the correct values cause it seems too good to be true.
In standby it chews about 1% per hour. That alone would be minus ~13% in your timeframe. I find it hard to believe what you explain really. Besides I've seen no one else report such battery life.
Intresting.I know on standby/sleep the phone is a champ barely drops battery. But its been inconsistent in my usages day to day sometimes i'll make it a whole day with 20% left sometime be in red from 4-5pm,sometimes 30% battery o teh way home about 6:30. They have definetely mastered standby but not so much on usage in the 10.1 build for me.I'll look forward to 10.2 keep reporting back if you can.
cause im not on 10.2
very hard to believe, CPU, Screen, GPU, Cellular,... all need power...

I see I am not lying and to tell the battery power I check the settings and an app I downloaded this 10.2http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=818405

I'm not saying you're lying. I'm just very suspicious why it's like that. I think you might have a battery that's not calibrated. Like others have had problems with the phone shutting down when the battery shows 30% for example. It really does sound too good to be true. A software update should not be able to like triple the battery life further from what we had on 10.1.
I just don't reboot my phone and it doesn't boot alone

Wow, that sounds very good. With 10.1 I can use my Z10 over a workday, but when the 10.2 is better, that would be great. BlackBerry is on the right path and when they go on like they do, releasing new great phones like the A10 and releasing software updates in that frequency, they will have a lot of success! Great! Does someone know when 10.2 is released?
My z10 has great battery life when I don't use it or even look at it. Once I do anything else it drains fairly quickly. I hope its just because I'm in the break in period from the update.
This does sound very hard to believe. Do you keep location services on? I think that is the killer for me
My Z10 is now also since six days on this 10.2.x. And I do agree, the battery life is WAY better than before. I know it is a bit early for a serious report, but I have only had two times to charge since (!!) That never happened before with a BB10 device.
And a lot other little tiny improvements which makes the overall device experience much better. I wished Blackberry came out with this in the beginning - the world press would have sent a significant better message out there, would have helped sales.... <sigh>
