Are you using mostly local contacts?
Did you enable the "Search for contact details" option in settings?

In the latest internal OS leak, things can self-heal at times, using over 50% CPU and draining one's battery, but ultimately things go so wrong that you have to restart or reset.

Thanks for your reply: Yes all local contacts but one , I will delete this one contact and test. No I had not enabled search in contact settings. Big THANKS to the BerryLeaks Team for this leak. The OSs just keep getting better and better. I forgot HOW MUCH BETTER till I got my replacement phone with the old 10.0 xxx . Keep up the great work Team !

Having a problem in the Phone Application when trying to use Contacts to dial a number. When I search for a contact, and click on the contact I want, it Crashes the App, and at times freezes the phone.

No problem if I access Contacts from the Contacts application and dial from there.

Have reinstalled the leak twice - on the 2nd try I did the following:
Download the leak again.
Security Wipe before and after install.
Did a hard reset
No restore of any data.
No apps (BB World or Sideload)
No other bars added
Only installed one Account (active-sync)
Did another hard reset
Tried deleting that one Account and installed an outlook.com account - same results.


Is this a random problem, an STL4 Problem....???

That is very very odd
I used the OS for 2 days, and I used the feature that you mentioned
I just settled into an OS, so I'm not in any worry to try it again
I'm going to see if anyone else reports this problem. If so, then maybe I'll go back and see what the problem is, and look for potential solutions
Alternatively, at the rate leaks are being released, you might as well just wait for a new leak ROFL

Buy the Contact X app from BBRY World and save yourself a truckload of aggravation. It works like a charm.

It doesn't export all fields, so for me, it's junk.

Contacts crashes my phone app for me as well. Did a sec wipe. Thought I was fixed but happened again. I did side load the black contacts and calendar. And it does work for both but in the phone app where it is white when selecting contact and initiating call, screen goes black and I can only hard reset with volume keys. Can't swipe out of app.
