I had the 10.1 update on the day it released, and i'm with Vodacom? Which is weird..

Sorry I should clarify what I said. Vodacom did release 10.1 on the same day as the worldwide release, every consecutive update or patch always came after the people on CellC. And poor MTN followed sometime after Vodacom.
I figure the lady in the Vodacom store knew when she said it would come in the first week of November. So I'll guess around the 11th.

Could it be that I have an unlocked device so the update was pushed directly to my device regardless of the carrier?

I have the STL100-1 from FNB.

It seems that everyone in SA that got the update was on a leaked version of 10.2 before he update... So the update from 10.1 to 10.2 should start rolling out next week (rumored)... At least thats what Vodacom have told some customers..

I'm still waiting for MTN to release it lol. I got so excited last night when I saw an available update. Which turned out to be 10.1.0.4181. Which I have had for a few months now. It added to foreign network apps lol. People in NZ and Brazil also got it.

Still waiting for the official 10.2. Hope ut fixes the "other data" stories...

I must be unlucky today
I downloaded the update and it was installing all fine and dandy, got to 91%, then it said please wait... and now I'm downloading a 991mb file as opposed to the first one which was 424mb. Infact it made me clear up a gig of space deleting games before this one would even start.

Am I alone here? How big was everyone else's update?
