    Hi Guys

Apologies if I my expectations are the problem here, but I thought that 10.2 brought with it "actionable notifications" with quick reply functionality?

A search of the forums has come back with some posts indicating that it has been/is available for some users?

I have been running many of the 10.2 leaks up to and including 10.2.0.1725 on my Q10 and never have I seen the "quick reply feature". Is this a Z?0 only feature due to screen size requirements or is the only action available to tap the preview and open the message?

When a toast pops up do you see a lil arrow on the right pointing to the left? I know it's there on SMS/MMS messages.

    Hi

Thats what I thought, given other peoples comments on the subject. I have an SQN100-3 and my current leak is an install using the autoloader rather than any "upgrade set of bars"

I can confirm however that for SMS/EMAIL/BBM/PIN, no arrows appear on the message preview, only an "x" on the right hand side.

    Any ideas?

Are you loading bar files that are bar files from 10.1? Because 10.1 didn't have toast notifications. BBM and sms have toast notifications with easy reply. Everything else has toast notifications without easy reply.

    Hi

No, my current device has an autoloader installed 10.2.0.1725. I have run most of the SQN leaks since 10.2 came out and none of them have had the "easy reply" feature although they have always had the toast notifications which when tapped open the associated message....

This is what I see. Now I'm running 10.2.0.1725 on a Z10 so I'm not sure if Q10's can't see it but that's strange. I haven't seen that not even on a Q10 now are you sending it as an email? Because that is the only thing I can think of why it wouldn't be working

On mine (running 1725), even if the arrow isn't there, and it does seem random, just tapping the notification (anywhere other than the "x") will still go to the email, or open the SMS thread.

It doesn't seem to matter if the arrow is there or not.

Have you tried just tapping the notification anyway?

    Hi

    Yes, instant previews is on.

Regarding the "action" on the notification, I too get the message to open when I tap on the preview, but I thought that the arrow feature allowed for a quick reply to that message without opening the associated message? Like I say, perhaps this is something of an expectation issue.

Could someone confirm whether they CAN do a quick reply to a message like this?

Click on the arrow to reply? Yup, it's worked on the few occasions I've tried it.

It expands the message but doesn't open the full messaging app

I can reply immediately by pressing the arrow on notifications on my Z10 STL 2 running 10.2.0.1743. Works with text messages, BBM and Whatsapp. And yes it doesnt open the app or lead anywhere else. Its an awesome feature.

Will try on my Q10 soon.

You have to be a little quick to catch the pop up. I have never seen a quick reply feature for messages though.

If by any chance are you referring to the phone calls then you can go into the phone settings and adjust the priority calling features. When someone calls and you swipe up to ignore the call you get the options of which message you want to text them.

I am on 10.2.1.200. I get actionable notifications and (with texts and BlackBerry Messenger) can reply by pressing the arrow. Works very well for me. Love it.
And just found the Priority phone mentioned above. Just keeps getting better and better.

On Q10 with 1443 and I get arrows on sms but not missed calls or emails. Tap toast and it will open a mail - most the time... it needs a little refinement for the tap but work most the time.

Just did the 1767 leak from 1443, i now get the "priority calling feature" for missed calls...not sure if it recognizes cell vs office phones in regards to messaging back?? I'll have to test this, if it's really slick i guess it will recognize an office number but let you txt back to a cell number for the user?????

Does the arrow open the message or does it open a reply to the message so you can start typing the reply?

Opens a reply thing right on top of your current application. The background goes dim.
