I have installed most leaks but have never gotten the arrow! I'm on a z10 with ATT and now running 1767. Security wipe, fresh install and rebooted - still no arrow.

    Hi

Thats what I thought, given other peoples comments on the subject. I have an SQN100-3 and my current leak is an install using the autoloader rather than any "upgrade set of bars"

I can confirm however that for SMS/EMAIL/BBM/PIN, no arrows appear on the message preview, only an "x" on the right hand side.

    Any ideas?
You don't need an arrow, just touch the pop up. That should take you directly there. It does on my Z10.

When I receive an SMS message on 10.2, on the "toast" notification there is an X to dismiss the notification and a Reply arrow. When I press the arrow, the background goes dimmer and a reply box instantly appears on top of the current appllication. Pressing Enter/Send returns me to the application. I don't even need to go into the Hub.

On the latest 1767 leak I get the toasts on email accounts as well. But they are not actionable.

Email toast with the arrow or just the toast with an x?

Emails just get the X. Tapping the notification will bring you to the Hub and open that email.

SMS and I believe BBM messages get both the reply and close buttons. Pressing the reply arrow will open a reply box right on top of your current application and dim the background. Pressing the notification also brings you to the Hub. I'd post a screen capture, but somebody needs to text me first...

Just the instant preview with the "X" to close. (toast). No arrow. It wouldn't make sense to be able to reply to what could be a lengthy quoted email from just that little preview window. As Chaz said you can touch the preview and it'll take into that email within the hub. So its useful nonetheless.

You need to turn it on in settings or your not using 10.2

Works for me with SMS, BBM and WhatsApp - getting the reply button and the x. Emails only get the x.
    I'm on 1767.

This is an old topic, but I have been having similar issues with the actionable notifications working intermittently. I read that a restore after updating will cause these issues.

Yesterday I noticed something interesting... the notifications were not showing for any of my BBM conversations. During the day, someone that got BBM on iOS added me... and the notifications started working, but only for that person. I did a couple of tests:

BBM: Deleting my existing conversations and starting new ones did not solve the issue, but when I deleted a contact and re-invited them to BBM, the notifications for that contact started working.

Whatsapp: I deleted Whatsapp, re-installed it, and the notifications started working for any contact in Whatsapp.

SMS: I deleted all my text conversations, and notifications started to work upon receiving a new text from an existing contact.

So,.. if you still want to restore to get back your other settings, app data, password keeper, etc. You can get around this issue by either re-adding contacts in BBM, deleting conversations in text, re-installing Whatsapp (probably works for BBM too).
