    Good Evening to all!
I hope everyone is keeping warm I'm running 10..2.1.1925 and was wondering if still needed to use SNAP to download apk app files? I was looking around the forum and I thought these higher numbered leaks would be compatible with apk files now? I have been using SNAP. I was getting crossed eyed reading all of the posts.

    Thanks,
    Arlene

You don't need SNAP to download apks or install them.

True, you don't NEED Snap to get apks.. there are other sources. But.. Snap is by far the fastest, easiest and best way to get them.

If you don't want to search the web all day, and prefer getting apps direct from the Play store, Snap is needed.

You can install .apk file on the phone, skirting the need to side load. But you still need to actually obtain the. Apk files as other have said and snap is your best bet for this

SNAP is your best choice as everyone already mentioned. the thing I like about it is when theres a new verison of an APK, you open the app, go to "My Apps", and click on "Updates" tab. It'll show any updates available for your installed APKs through SNAP. ALOT easier than manually searching the web for an updated version of those apps/apks.

    good luck

Have one question about snap. Will it be available in BB World?

Okay 2 questions? What apps are available in there? Just popular apps like instagram and so on,
or also all regional apps from different countries too?

No, it will not be available in BBW. It's a bar file that has to be side loaded. It has all apps from Google play but not all will work especially if they require access to Google services

I'd say close to 95% do work though.. I've personally tested hundreds, only 2 have failed.

Snap is the easiest way I've found to find Android Apps and to keep them updated.

But I'd say that it's more like 70% of Android Free Apps work partial . With the limitation of no in app purchases work, which is an issue for a big majority of Kids games and Apps that only allow progress or new "levels" by in app purchase.

The other issue is apps that need to download a database of additional information. Sometimes you can get them to work by copying the database from a working Android device, sometimes not.

Have to hope that compatibility gets better as the OS advances, not sure we will ever get an official Google Play

The 95% is for apps. Games are a completely different story. That's were you get into more in app purchases, OBB files etc.
