I have noticed that Z10 treats a number with international prefix of +1 as a different number if you only change our the prefix from +1 to 00. Example:

    +1 555 1234
    00 555 1234

The old BlackBerry understood that these see the same numbers. BB10 does not see that. This means that if someone calls me I fett their phone number starting with + and not their name from the contact list. My saved contact list has + in front of all the phone numbers.

Is there a way to make BB10 see that the prefix can be different but the phone numbers are the same?

I experienced a similar thing, although it was from Spain to the uk, thus incoming from +34 to my +44 number. It turned out that after two decades the carrier all of a sudden placed a block on international dialing. The moment that was lifted all was fine.

But, as the op wasn't fully clear, all my contacts have the + notation even my local country ones. A good habit for anyone to do, especially when you live near the border with another country. But BB10 treats them just fine.
