Are you sure you are in the directory external_sd? Thats your actual SD card not /sd. So navigate to /sd ad go down the list to external_SD and there you should be able to find your games.
Hi there, thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

Yeah I'm in that directory, as shown below:

[Unofficial Release] RetroArch 1.3.6 for BlackBerry 10-img_20170214_072058.png

And this is what is actually in that directory according to the file manager:

So that's why I was thinking some fool-proof step by step instructions might be needed because I must have messed up somewhere along the way.

Huh, very weird, I was able to reproduce the problem by placing a folder called roms into my sd card with games in it and it also showed nothing for me. My solution was to move the folder to my actual device memory and the games showed up just fine. I have no idea why this happens, very strange

Glad it wasn't just me! A bit weird if RetroArch can't see things on the SD card.

So what directory exactly did you put your roms? Just so I can do the same.

How to use analog with pcsx-rearmed? i would like to assign left analog x+(right) to E key and left analog x- (left) to Q key, so that i can use both dpad assigned to WASD and the analog.
This way in games like crash bandicoot 2 if you go forward (W) you can quickly turn right or left (E,Q) and when you go backward (S) you can do the same with D,A.
I assigned the left and right axis to Q and E, then i selected in Input User 1 binds - Type= retropad w\ analog - analog to digital type = left analog finally i loaded the game and in option i changed standard to analog with no results. Might someone help me?

I've finally gotten myself a Blackberry Passport SE and this is among the first few applications that I immediately tried to install. Just as the author had pointed, I had to wait several seconds while in the Retroarch logo black screen for the app to initialize itself. Custom key remapping works but there's a couple of noteworthy issues that I experienced. Note that I run this on a factory brand new Passport with essentially no other external applications.

    - The fast forward feature doesn't work despite setting the "Maximum run speed" to a multipier. The default parameter is set to 0. Rewind and slow-mo works though.

    - The app freezes at one point when I tried to launch it. Quitting/relaunching or even rebooting the Passport doesn't help either. I have to uninstall the app and sideload it once more to launch it.

I finally figured where the problem is. It turned out that I had to change the Audio Driver to openal instead of the default alsa to enable the fast forward feature. Perhaps it's normal that alsa driver automatically enforce the frame limit cap?

Now I finally gotten a fully working RetroArch running on the Passport :-) Thanks Axel for making it happen. It runs all possible games that I throw at it without much hassle.

For those that need help setting it up and configuring, I had written a quick guide on how to achieve just that

I also tried out the Achievement feature and it does integrate well with RetroAchievements. One question though, will I still be able to unlock achievement locally without any Internet connection, kinda like how Playstation Trophies work? The trophy will be acquired locally, buffered and then re-sent to the server whenever there is Internet connection? I don't think the achievement works retrospectively as well right?

Thanks a lot for a great work. A little question: has anybody tried Doom? PrBoom crashes, DosBox works fine, but how to remap arrow keys to WASD and similar?

Wut? It's not dead, it works great actually. And you can always contribute. Btw this thread is about an app not an OS

Why would you think that? The source is there, you might ask the developer, if you miss anything and this emulator does what it's supposed to do. Where is the problem?

For me, mapping the control inputs to the buttons I want on the passport keyboard is confusing enough. The genesis controler is the easiest to map, 3 buttons in sequential order.

I tried playing Duke nukem advance the other night, that uses the L and R triggers to strafe. Big no,no

Very pleased I came across this thread.

Have been using the cascades version 1.0.2.9, but this new version is working beautifully. Much appreciation to the dev.

Can only hope the cascades UI is still in the pipeline!

Edit: has anyone had any luck with MAME on Retroarch?
    Edit edit: all sorted!

For the problem that 3 keys can't be recognized at the same time, i have found the reason.the Keyboard of blackberry consists of 35 keys, and i have tried to worked out its circuit diagram with an avometer. these 35 keys are defined by 5 x 7 wire sets.

so that the 3key problem happens when these 3 keys using some same wire set. It's not easy to resolve it. later i may show you the key map.
