u will have to make/change key config through misc/gbaemu/vbam.cfg

Did u install the app suggested in the first post to test out the gamepad button? If the app cannot see the button press of your gamepad, then it is not working for bb10.

It should work. Try two things:
- delete the game save file in your Rom folder
- delete the ini file in misc/gbaemu

V3 Action Reply code should be 16 Hex codes, 12 Hex is not compatible.
Here is a reference FAQ for US/JAP Fire Red code for V3 Action Replay. Give it a shot.
