- Games like Last Stand 3: Union City, Acruz 2, Sonny 2, Stick RPG, etc are great Flash games, but don't work 100% with Zeus Browser.
- Tapping Fast = Fullscreen == Disables HardKey Input
- No Shift, Alt & Ctrl Keys
It would be great if Zeus Wrapped each Game and set a price for App/Game/Platform Developers to charge for Remakes/Updated/Sequel Games...I had this idea for PSP w/PPSSPP (GTA: San Andreas Stories, Phantasy Portable 2i-English, Valkyrie Chronicles 3 Reload-English, Little Battlers X - Senki W, Metal Gear Phantom Walker, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 3)

Posted via CB1007-22-19 07:53 AMLike 0 - Yeah I get you, BlackberryOS being a dead platform...and BBos isn't where your going to find gamers among those who write, but Adobe SWF games are kind of easy to develop if developers still know their stuff (Not so much seeing as HTML5 & Android are more lucrative).
BUT TO SWF Game Sites like Armor Games & Kongregate who are having a hard time getting their HTML5 or SWF Games to Android/Mobile Platform (As they have Thousands) there is the money...maybe I'm pitching ideas in the wrong places.
If I run Blackberry I would help further develop the APK4.3 Runner w/Cub3D (Python PC Game Engine that easy turns Panda3D to APKs) that way you can sell Blackberry Devices as Android, BBos & Python Platform
#1 Python compared to any other Language would have anyone as their Developer due to being the first Language people learn
#2 Cub3D as a Game Engine == Faster Apps, why?
Theory GUI rendered by GPU vs CPU based on Android GPU Render option in Development Settings, ColorNotes GPU Render Option, iPod Touches had great GPUs way before Android and Windows rates GPU with Aero Peek feature.
- So hopefully Cub3D apps w/Cython & OpenGLES 2.0 GPU rendered GUI or further developed to support OpenGLES 3.0 (Passport & Z30) GPU rendered GUI helps speed up apps
I JUST TOOK THIS IN, BLACKBERRY ISN'T CHARGING 30% ON THEIR PLATFORM ANYMORE SO IF YOUR PURCHASE GOES THROUGH THE DEVELOPER -which is harder vs Google Play Voucher cards- THEN THE DEVELOPER IS GAINING 100% OF PROFIT!!!
AND IF YOU CAN REDESIGN AN AUTOLOADER WITH CERTAIN APPS
I would have Addon based BAR Apps like Firefox for the Net Browser/Text Editor/File Manager/Media Player/Camera/Calculator/Calendar/Settings/Maps/etc.
BAR Apps like Zeus Browser, Searing Media's Parrot, Toysoft's Screen Recorder would also Default BAR Apps THEN YOU CAN AVOID THE-SOON-TO-SHUTDOWN BLACKBERRY WORLD while haLast edited by Lukong1515; 07-22-19 at 02:54 PM.

I understand why sell old/limited tech for cheap when new/expansive/expensive tech is doing so much and the pay off is guaranteed.

We can't use this thread as a PM since the thread as public and the PMs are private, but we can certainly try to discuss on-thread. Be aware however we are likely to receive a fair amount of pushback from the folks I refer to as the anti-BB10 crowd.
Regarding your first point: it's actually pretty easy to port Android apps to BB10 and always has been, but for devs who haven't actually transferred their SWFs to Android that would not be a good way to take advantage of the platform.
Developing the Android Runtime would be great but it has yet to be done due to how the runtime is implemented in Blackberry 10. Blackberry Limited unfortunately has not shown interest in further development, so that would not work.
The GPUs are actually pretty slick in most BB10 devices so they could likely support the Flash-based games if they could be wrapped/ported successfully.
I hear you on adding .BARs to autoloaders, and that's certainly a possibility, but we'd have to get them from the developers first before they could be added. There are certainly some developers who have released their .BARs, but we'd need the folks from Toysoft, Zeus Browser, etc. to release theirs before we could add them in.
As a side note once you have the .BARs it's pretty easy to sideload them on to BB10 devices, so they wouldn't even need to be available in autoloaders--they could just be downloadable and people could install them directly using Sachesi or DBBT.08-08-19 01:11 AMLike 0 - Sorry to hear that about your laptop Lukong. It's not so much that you have to use a computer to open a link, it's that that functionality isn't present in the CB10 app. Disappointing, but what can you do?

Okay
"...Isn't present in CB10 app. Disappointing..."
==
Stop blackberry devices (let BB burn) as android isn't a Blackberry thing...I say that with no regrets (Right now I'm seeing 2 old android keyboard phones that have a quarter of my passport specs...but would run better...not refering to android runtime).
"...the folks I refer to as the anti-BB10 crowd..."
==
I don't I've seen them (as most stupidity mock iOS as inferior and feel Android is worst than BBos10) and if I did, they aren't anti-BB10os, there pissed from many things BB10os does and doesn't do...so they have more like Anti-Anti-Consumer that haven't used WindowsXP
- BB locked the bootloader with high tech, made it difficult to install BAR apps then wanted to drop BBworld
- BB brags of security, but OS has many bugs & not even an OS (Non-Root, e.g. Lock Location off even if app uses Location) vs App (Non-Untoggable) permission control for Android APK...it self-hacks
- BB doesn't provide support (Host or at least allow Crackberry to host proper OS Autoloader) and leaves it to third party
- Doesn't care of fanbase (makes tone-deaf non-keymap touch phones...when being bought for keyboard then for security) cause they think keyboard == just texting (I remember the "Lets get back to what matters"...*shows emojis...me: LOL, fail)...I knew since Android OS2.3 == Pocket PC...hence why I've own Keyboard phones on OS1-4 and laughed at 3 (Google thought Landscape == just for games & movies...didn't think about portrait UI using the free space like opening multiple tabs vs stretching each tab)...3 row keyboard with no option to reconfig keys
- No recovery mode and having to format the os for minor bugs
- Non customizable Soft Keymap...the list goes on
- Even some gangstalkers (educated & working in big companies) made the same mistake of saying 'its about social apps' which is all BB CEOs dwelled on...and look what happed
- TO THE PERSON WHO SUGGEST WHY NOT HAVE A PHONE WITH 128GB & 8GB CAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO EXTRA SD CARD SLOTS & POWER USER OPTIONS...WHEN SAMSUNG COMES OUT WITH ITS 12GB RAM FOR FORT MOBILE... WOULDNT IT BE BETTER IF THE RAM WAS MODIFIED OR JUST SOFT CONFIG'D AS ROM FOR FAST STORAGE LIKE HOW PCIe CAN BE USED AS RAM EVEN THOUGH ITS STORAGE...then use extra sd cards for slow storage handling that you can expand cause if you can keep apps on phone and link obb2sd externally then apps only tax 100-200mb = 100apps vs +1-4GB obb data on = 5-20apps on 32gb storage after OS install (repeating myself)
"easy to port Android apps to BB10 and always has been, but for devs who haven't actually transferred their SWFs to Android that would not be a good way to take advantage of the platform."
==
Though easy to port Android...they don't work well == to changing the extension. "Take advantage of the platform" if Android doesn't run well on BBXos, but
- video games make money (and if you've seen gamer news, right now gamers are looking someone who puts fresh ideas in games before greed...)
- armored games and kongretate are 2 large host sites with hugh fanbases & game library...who don't have/barely mobile support...Zeus Browser is a flood gate (Also have you seen BBworld's Game section??? other than the typical AAA companies...everything else is like unfinished school assignments)
++ have you looked at the visit rate on any game I mentioned or even tried to play them on Zeus Browser vs PC...do you play video games?
++ the few problems that zeus browser has is speed (not as bad as New Android Phones handling Swf), no disable doubletap fullscreen (makes ard keys unresponsive), mouse hovering via softpad/hardkeys/...touch keyboard feature them click like an actual mouse (every SWF player dev seems to miss that)...making most SWF good for dressup games like Sonic Charrie Maker (And yes search a random dressup game and compare to this)
- Adobe doesn't support pass 4 unless your using Adobe Air??? app (Allows people to play an SWF-made, not SWF-wrapped game on Android)
- For PSP it was to take PPSSPP (The best running PSP emu on OpenGLES2) and get Sony's blessing and PSP developers to update/sequel good games (people feel the need to purchase as their is no pirate version) and sell it
- PSP == 3D game shop & SWF == 2D game shop
"Developing the Android Runtime would be great but it has yet to be done due to how the runtime is implemented in Blackberry 10..."
...sigh (I have a theory)
1. Do you know what Cub3D is? or Panda3D? or who made Panda3D? have you seen any Panda3D apps? Did you know ARM (Chip in Android) was discovered as functional with very low power...like how Python (Is a slow language...yet Panda3D & Blender exist
2. have you used Colornote and seen GPU render option...Android's developer options and notice the gpu render UI option... or Windows Score that mentions Aero...or notice the GPU on a iPod Touch (Play Chaos Ring) vs the first Android (HTC hero) and what is the full abbreviation for Interface or User Interface (...3 letters whats the first letter)
3. If you couldn't improve the Runtime then wouldn't you go around it
++ BB problem with the Runtime isn't the OS it stopped at (when I was on Android 2.3 and 4.4.x was out, I didn't feel the need to update, until I was on a OpenGLES2 OS with OpenGES3 gpu and how 5/6/7 OS requirement locks you out of apps) its that they didn't know where to poor the direction hence why the $10000 == They threw money at their problem & mocked Android vs learning to improve on Android 's probelms cause they themselves didn't know where to focus on at the time (even KiaOS would have been better than BBxos), but don't have an excuse in 2019
4. As per 1. don't you think a GPU that can handle 3D very well...could handle 2D images...easily and would something generic handle better than something specifically design for a jab also Intel's GPU == suck
5. As per 1. Python == easiest language, but difficult tools due to staying complex vs PyDroid (Auto-indent IDLE == Less Errors than can be automatically done) or how plugins can be install via exe for other IDlEs
++ I can run Cub3D apps on my LG f3q (4.1.x) and Passport, but I can not run the Terminal on BBXos (In fact Qpython doesn't work, The only problem I have with Cub3D is the "Can't find file"...I think BBxos doesnt do Terminals) so that means you can develop them in Panda3D & use Cub3D to run them
++ If their is a Clock panda3D app then it can be made into an Alarm app
++ Also upon exploring cub3D...the only difference is toggling things like bluetooth...meaning it can change phone system settings too
6. My problem with Android Runtime (which should be called "Can't Run APK higher than Jellybean" or "APK4.3 Runner v#") is how slow BBXos boots up then loads an android app in the player
++ I wish that the player was top priority and that loading was instant
++ I heard the runtime was at APK 2.3 before...makes me think they didn't implement APK4.3.x properly
++ That being said yes BB did something pretty amazing they made a Mobile OS that emulates Android and add OpenGLES 3 support other than the Non-Rotational 1:1 Ratio (Great for Cams), Touch Keyboard (Needs dedicated configuration & options for diverse user usage) & an OS that could have done Project Ara
"GPUs are actually pretty slick in most BB10 devices so they could likely support the Flash-based"
The GPU doesn't really matter...BBxos is slower than Froyo phone and less functional. The support has to be developed so SWF not only run fast, but are usable (Hover mouse & click) and that doesn't require hardware...it requires software
"...sideload them on to BB10 devices..."
Which I've beed having trouble finding or doing. Hears why it I feel its better to add to OS
- Sideload requires PC or Internet...might as well place in autoloader...I understand if sideloading avoids wiping your system to install new apps, but with the dimissed of BBworld and lack of updates and me factory reset my phone == need this as I install the same apps
- one idea I have is for stable-core apps (text editor, camera, file manager, dialer, net browser, etc) that are plugin based like firefox so plugins are installed vs apps
maybe we as BB users should start a kickstarter to get BB to listen/make the designs we want or simply our money into Unihertz & F(x)tec pro and let BBBurn.
look for my threads and you'll see what I'm saying
Posted via CB1008-08-19 04:20 AMLike 0 - also I wish I could attach cub3D apk to thread cause its hard to find on the internet...but it seems I can only do pictures
Posted via CB1008-08-19 04:22 AMLike 0 - Lukong, there's a lot to unpack here, but I have to tell you...while I rarely say this, it sounds like you might actually be happier using Android rather than Blackberry 10. Is there a particular reason you stick with BB10 rather than picking up an Android phone?08-08-19 04:32 AMLike 0

The Passport funny enough was the only acessible in Stores and was expensive, but also if you compare the length of a Samsung Galaxy T699 to one side of Passport's Display is equal...
Meaning the true successor is the Passport, but Android Runner is Garbage...and if the Keyboard's Touch had split zone...it could have been had a 'Game Mode' of 2x Trackpad then reuse the keys underneath [config some to tog as Trigger keys, 9 keys per Trackzone]
Also I can't PM you05-22-22 02:59 PMLike 0 - Its not just Android, my best Hard keyboard phone was Samsung Galaxy T699, every phone before that either has a smaller screen or lower specs.
