Looking forwrad to it--since the original Flappy Bird was pulled from iOS and Android, this will be one of the few versions left!

What's the reason for going 8bit? I liked the faces on the first screenshot.

The reason is that I can't draw and find any suitable sprites ;_; (the fly gets really annoying to play with)

Hehe I liked the grumpy fly .

The new 8bit ladybirdy looks like Flappy Herbie. The ground looks great in 8bit, retro goodness.

I'm unsure on whether to release it or not, Flappy Herbie is too good for me to compete with it.

Why not release? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I'm sure that can somehow be applied to the relative qualities of software.

Hey umm I kinda like the old theme better. It gave it it's own original look and not a weird Clone of Flappy Birds.

Is it possible you can make a option where you can select themes. Heck you could probably sell theme packs too if you like. Like a theme for a dollar or something.

Just thinking out loud that's all.

My question is what's preventing you from trying to one up him. I played your Demo and even though it's kind of a little rough around the edges, it feels more like Flappy Birds than the Herbie game.

And like I said in the previous comment. Adding themes can be a killer feature in your version. Heck maybe you can even try to expand the game by offering diffrent obstacles (like sideways ramps, and moving platforms)

But then again I'm not really good at developing games. I only started learning Java. So I don't know how difficult it will be to implement it.

Implementing them is not that hard but I can't draw lol, anyway, I changed the sprites from the original theme because the wings of the fly made it really uncomfortable to play

I have decided to release it, is already done anyway, I'll try to polish it for v2.
