So I can't post a picture because it's kinda invisible to cameras.

    But.

My screen, when looking at a completely black image, shows small darker spots.
I noticed it while watching a movie, then I looked up a picture of a black screen, loaded it, looked at it and cried.

You can only notice it if the screen is 100% black and the room you're in is 100% dark.

I've seen it on 2 dev Cs as well. I think it's just a defect with the (presumably) lower quality screens in the dev C devices.

I think the problem is not with the screen itself, but with the back light. It is not 100% evenly distributed and it causes some areas to look brighter then others. This problem may appear on thin LCDs because it is impossible to put inside a better back light as for example on computer monitors.

@topt: There's no backlight on the Dev Alpha C as it has an AMOLED screen which means that every pixel produces its own light.

I've seen this effect on every phone that I had that uses an AMOLED screen (Samsung Omnia HD, Galaxy S, Nokia N8, N9, 808 & Dev Alpha C). The effect has gotten less with newer phones, but it's still noticeable.
You can easily capture the effect with a camera if you turn up the exposure time and turn down the aperture, although I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a photo of this effect so I'll just leave it at that.

I tried to take a pic with a long exposure plus enhancing it in photoshop, but it's still invisible with the camera
But on my eyes I can see spots and irregular stripes.
I guess it's an inferior quality display just because this is a testing device

I hope the Q10 won't have the issue. It's not too much of a problem for me but for a 250 dollar phone.. I feel like there should be higher quality.
