It's a phone. 12000 or so have been made but hey, it's a phone.

Only 2500 or so have been made of the car I have and I didn't wrap that in plastic / leave it in the box either :P

To me, it's a phone that you can't get a replacement of, can't buy another one (unless someone else sells his/her), barely find someone else with the same one (and same color) around, easily draws attention to, and something you can talk about with many curious minds around.

Otterbox here. I have children who love to sneak off with my phone. I have already dropped it multiple times and nary a scratch on it!

I dropped it once while trying to pick it up from the bedside table. No damage. Got the Otter Box for those times when I'm in a more hostile environment. Once I tried it on I find I like the firmer grip. I was planning on only putting it in the box when going camping or working in the forest, but now I'm torn. Contrary to some reports I don't find the Otter Box messes up swiping for me at all. YMMV
