    I was at work today and a customer came in and he had the new 5" 1:1 ratio screen with a keyboard. It had a keyboard under it but it was only 3 rows of keys.

    Looked like a very cool device, absolutely massive next to my z10 but this confirms that there is at least a dev device using the new screen that we saw leaked a few weeks back.

    No offense, but you simply described the device shown in the new leaked cases photo on the home page here. Unless you have pics of the device you saw, there's no way of knowing if the story is accurate.

    I know you won't believe me without a picture. But he wouldn't let me take a picture. I promise you it was real.

    Just because it is a dev device doesn't mean it will ever be a real phone.

    For all we know there is this version as well as a version with a more standard version.

    Yea man. That thing is an absolutely hideous monstrosity of device. If they release something that looks like that it might very well mark the end for BlackBerry imo.

    From the news that is leaking out it appears this device MIGHT be real but not for consumers really. I might be a very specialized device for the health industry as seen in the other thread which could explain the hideous appearance.

    It's for the medical industry. With a traditional BBRY pouch it will be fine. And the real estate will be magnificent to have when you need this to be a TOOL to do your job.

    Chen said that if they make things for the medical community that they may make it available to consumers.

    Hmmm... sounds like the device appearing in some photos that have circulated on line and on CB. Some have suggested it will be used essentially as a medical device and is related to the recent announcements regarding BlackBerry's partnership with a medical services company.
