    The black case back plate thing that you may have seen in an un-boxing video was a special bonus for BlackBerry Elite developers.

    I do not understand why they do not offer the Z10 in red to retail customers. It would really POP in a crowd and be a great advertisement.
    Also, why not give white owners the option to buy a black rubbery back.

    Are you a dev? Maybe you simply don't understand the idea of "limited edition".

    Yeah they really don't. Many videos and pictures, including the one from BlackBerry Jam Europe, makes the device out to have an orange look. The red is pretty rich and deeper than what many cameras make it out to be, it's really nice though I constantly get asked if it's the new BlackBerry.
