    Hey gang,

I've got a dev alpha b, my app is waiting for approval and I hope to be able to trade it in for an LE.

I'm wondering whether I should keep the battery from it since it's the same as for the z10. I don't want to be a ****, but it would be kinda nice to get a spare battery out of the deal..

    What do you guys think?

Dev Alpha B uses the same battery as the Z10. I believe it's the LS-1 model battery. That said, you should return the whole unit, including the battery as you're getting a Limited Edition replacement *including* a new battery. You got a pre-release device PLUS an exclusive version of a release device OUT of this. Do what's right.

You can buy additional batteries at deep discount at the next BlackBerry Jam (or whatever it's called) or just buy them online for about $20 when there's a sale. Come on.

Hey, I just got approved for the LE. I just wanna know whether I need to send back everything? DevAlpha B + Battery, charger, cable, box. Or just the devalpha and the battery. Also, how long will it take for them to send us the LE after they receive our devalpha. I know it says 2-6 weeks in the website, but I just want to know what it really take.

Btw, the battery for the alpha b is the same as the z10.. that's why I'm asking / wondering about keeping it..

They expect to get the phone back (with the battery), but they probably won't freak out if you don't send the cable or the charger or the box.

They haven't started shipping the Limited Edition units yet and probably won't be sending the first ones until the middle of March.

I have same question. Anyway they going to recycle that battery, since they can not refurbish it. I asked this question few days ago, but I did not get an answer. My dev alpha is going to be picked up in few hours, so I wounder if I could have the battery.
