So, I heard that Blackberry was planning on killing all development devices at nearly this time of this year, except the DAC(By what I saw on the forum in some thread), but I saw a Dev Alpha B that is still working, and actually being used as a daily phone.
So, what happened to that timed bomb? Will they still be blocked/killed?

They are still sending out out Dev Alpha B's, I just received 2 of them yesterday, so I doubt they will be killing them any time soon.

They're still sending them? Never knew that.
I wonder if they will ever do it, though, the B is such a beautiful device, and it has a special charm to it.

Ya they just got around to shipping them out for the January Port-A-Thons. I agree the B's are a nice device, just too bad about the limited RAM.

I've been hearing it as July 30th (or was it June 30th? It started with a J ) Dev Alpha C isn't going to be bricked though. BlackBerry has sent email replies saying we can keep the Dev Alpha C.

Blackberry were postponing brick date every time. Now it is June 30, but maybe they will postpone it again.

Hopefully, I can't see why they would do it soon while they are still giving them away.
I still hope thy never do it though, such a shame for such nice devices.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Dev A got turned off in June. It's over a year old and they have already stopped making updates for it.

I got an email from BB that stated clearly: "Also note that the Dev Alpha Bs are no longer being deactivated." that's what I was asking about. The FAQ on the Dev devices page seems to indicate that the A's will continue to work as well, though they will not be receiving software updates. If folks' are still receiving B's, then I expect the software for those to be updated for a little longer.
Darn I wish I had my hands on a C! Getting bug reports and I can't for the life of me get the simulator to work on Linux..

And the Dev A has a way to still be used, if you get a message hold the power button for 30 seconds then it will boot up normal
