    Ok what is your opinion?
Will you install viber and use it?
    Will you leave BBM?
Do you think viber could be harmful for security of BlackBerry os 10?

    Please post your opinion here

I might install Viber if it's native and fully functional, with good support. That's what I want. I mean, might as well have put up the Android version ages ago if it wasn't.

I don't quite understand how security of BlackBerry and Viber go together /: If you mean privacy, it's your choice whether or not to install it....

Will I leave BBM? Hell no. I love it so much that I hate the guys at BlackBerry for making the Android and iOS versions of BBM so terrible and not introducing Video and Screen Share, as well as loads of other features.

I just want it to come as a native app with good functionality. I doubt it would hinder the growth of BBM, as they operate completely differently with different features.

I won't use it. My old 9800 had it, only a few people used it, and those same people had Whatsapp. Either way, no interest in having my contact list stored on some foreign server half way across the world.

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. Tried the Android version and it wasn't worth the effort.

Lets be realistic, how about selling some BB10 phones before ORDERING for native apps? If Viber works smoothly with push notifications and integrates with the hub like Skype I won't complain at all.

Shame on Viber team (as well as on Microsoft for their Skype port) for not making it native!

Gosh, they don't even want to put some effort into making a decent app. A lot of people have been waiting for Viber for BB10 just to get a mere Android port in the end! That's just pathetic!

    Disappointed!

To be happy that it's in BlackBerry World (a day late and a dollar short but I digress) would require me to use Viber in the first place, so no, I'm not happy it's in BlackBerry World.

I'm happy because can't use BBM on cellular data connection, somehow its blocked. I'm wondering why BB can't solve this.

    PS: I'm on Z30 with 10.2.1
Are you possibly on an old BlackBerry plan that was meant for bis?

I have a friend on rogers in Canada and she. Upgraded phones from curve to z10. But still has old BlackBerry social plan

So none of her data works till she updates plans

If you have tried the Android version through Snap, you wouldn't want a ported Android version on your BB10 device. Whatsapp is much better integrated on BB10 but it doesn't have free voice calls. I really want Viber on my Z10 but I won't install it until its as good as Whatsapp.

Nope, not a android port. Won't even bother with it. So what puzzles me is if this is what viber spent their time on? Porting?

I'm happy that it is there, because the more apps in the BB10 ecosystem the better. This will help with consumer perception and entice other companies to follow.

But you should read this first before using it: Viber sends video, images without encryption protection - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

Not really interested, rather keep promoting BBM instead of creating more BUZZ for a competing app... besides, found this today on Cnet:

Viber sends video, images without encryption protection. Researchers demonstrate that a widely used mobile chat app not only sends some kinds of data in the open, it also stores it publicly online.
