    Facebook doesn't make the Facebook App for BlackBerry. BlackBerry makes the Facebook app. They'll figure out what permissions are necessary and you'll still have ability to toggle on and off, unlike the android version.

    I know some apps require access to your location and device content. But, I do not get or understand why would they need to read your sms messages. Is there a new feature within FB that allows you to send sms or mms messages?
