The app can be used to set auto tasks like sending an email to all of your contacts or certain contacts every wednesday. Everything is customizable. Also an app that could delete sms every end of the week but except some certain contacts. Also the app can post to all social networks every morning with your own defined status like a good morning message with a video or an image.

I am already starting the project. But I also need some opinions if you think Im building a needed app. I need this future app for me. I hope you do too. Please comment your opinions please. Thank you.

On Android, Tasker is fantastic. Something like that for BB10 would be so useful.

But the app doesnt just limit that functionality. Pretty much all that's possible. Maps, social apps, email, bbm, calendar, alarms, sms, call, pretty much all apps especially stock apps can be automated.

Happy to see your thoughts. Don't worry. The app is in the works now. But I can't assure the full functionality. I will just list all the functions it can do for now as BlackBerry API is not yet that good

Yeah Tasker was amazing on my gs3 before. That app would do wonders on bb10

Xda has some threads with some really smart automations: take front-facing fotos and email picture if wrong unlock passcode has been entered.

I use Tasker to turn on wifi when I'm at home, not using gps, but rather tagging nearby cell towers.

I just started to play with the native Smart Tag app on 10.2, which is OK, but lacks some features that I would need.
E.g. it doesn't allow for "smart triggers" to be saved and edited. For me this is a must, as I would like to extend/modify tags that I created.
It also doesn't allow for all phone functions to be executed, e.g. I would like to out my phone into bedside mode by use of a NFC tag, after having turned flight mode on. Flight mode works, not so bedside mode.

So yes, if your new app would allow significantly more than what the native app does, I would be ready to buy it.

I know geofencing is there now so you could possibly get location control but the biggest thing for me is radio control. I want to have my phone turn off on evenings and weekends. I even had this feature on my Palm Treo years back and it was awesome - made my battery life go a long way. So yes I'd be very interested and would pay $20 for an app like Tasker on BB10. If you want some beta testers count me in.

it needs some system access, will update when I get into this app and I hope I can access more things that's needed to be accessed.
