I saw this in the Igrinn thread and felt it deserved it's own forum post. It looks to be a native Vine client. Looks pretty smooth. Not the owner of the app although hoping someone can get a hold of the dev.

BlackBerry announces it's going private and all of a sudden someone is working on an Instagram and Vine app. Wow. Maybe they should have gone private a while ago. Really hope this sees the light. I hate getting hyped up and then being disappointed. We need this for those that are still here even if BlackBerry is going private.

It's funny how things end up working out. After all the horrible news about BlackBerry going under developers seem to think differently which is a good thing for us. This vine client seems more credible as you can see it actually functioning on the Q10 and Z10.

This, and for the hold-outs, the privatization announcement removes the air of uncertainty. Before people didn't know what was going to happen with BlackBerry, so no reason to dedicate time developing for a dying platform. BlackBerry still is far from the clear, but at least devs know the company will be around for a while in some capacity.

Anyway, just posted and subscribed to keep up with the progress. Hope we can find the dev and get him/her to join the discussion thread.

Awesome, only thing is I think the title and logo of the app are too close to the official app and might get blocked if not changed.

Vine API is not public. There is a potential situation that BlackBerry will not allow publishing this app.
Yet to be seen once done.
Core of the app is written in universal Qt, so all Qt enabled phones will have the same core. Coming to all Nokia N9 and Symbian too. Maybe even PlayBook.
Google me up, I do my Qt very seriously.

You said my name 3 times and I have summoned.
    This is my app.
This is being actively working on every day.
Yes it will have video upload and system integration.
Situation is complicated about publishing this app.
I don't work for Vine. If BlackBerry sanctions it, it will be released.
If not, you'll have to sideload it once it is done.

    Hit me with questions!
I'm down for anything! Beta testing, side loading a final product, but I think blackberry should allow it seeking that vine allowed 6sec on windows

I for one like the fact there will be native apps named oh so slightly close to the well know apps.

Can't wait for the mass ridicule from Apple and Android users.

But Whine is an appropriate name for the app.
