I know right, I made my friends switch, mind you I'm a loser and don't have many friends lol but as soon as BBM went cross platform I deleted whatsapp and got my friends to make the switch

Ive recommend BBM in a big way. Made all 30 people in my whatsapp group download BBM.

All have revered back to whatsapp because 2 super simple basic run off the mill features are missing.

1. On iOS and android there's no group mute. So there's no way to shut our talkative 30 person strong group who chat all day and night. Great going there BBM. The only way is to turn off notifications for the whole app rendering it useless. It's fkin stupid.

2. When you open the chat and feel like catching up on the group, the stupid thing brings you to the bottom of the page rather than where you last read. In a chat with 30 noisy people thats a lot of damn messages to scroll up on to. Do this 20 times a day and tell me its fun. It completely detracts you from checking chats. Again fkin stupid.

I love BBM otherwise but im hitting a brick wall with trying to recommend it. Do something damnit BlackBerry.

Whatsapp has devs on crackberry, there's a permanent thread where people can report directly and get feedback and they work on thing pretty damn fast.

Look at how proactive whatsapp is. I dare say its the best big name app we have not made by blackberry. Within a year we have feature parity with ios and android versions and ours is native and hub integrated and in many ways even better than their ios and android counterparts.

BBM is still wondering how to become leader in IM?

The answer is right here on this damn website!

BBM groups completely and utterly suck. I love and adore my BlackBerry though.

It makes business sense for them to support BlackBerry 10. If you can get BlackBerry users off of BBM and using WhatsApp, you cut into BlackBerry users recruiting people on other platforms to switch to BBM.
