    I see lots of negative comments on new Whatsapp update. That people are not able to open after the new update.

    But for me it works like a charm. And I love the black theme now than the earlier versions.

    How many if you guys like Whatsapp's new update and the new black theme ?

    We have confirmed that there is an issue with new version (2.11.604) of the app for users running on OS 10.0 and early versions of 10.1. A fix to our app will be submitted to BlackBerry World sometime within the next few hours, and will be available as soon as BlackBerry approves it.

    Anyone running OS 10.1.0.4xxx or newer, which likely includes nearly everyone that reads these forums, should be unaffected.

    I'm on Z10STL100-4/10.2.1.2174 with Verizon, and the new update is awful. Crashes, very slow and choppy. Much worse that previous release!


    Update: a hard reset of my Z10 improved it somewhat. At least it now starts up in the hub correctly. Still a bit choppy, especially when there are photos in the chat

    One would have thought so, and when things aren't working well on their OS, they blame BlackBerry.

    Wow that's surprising on many levels. One that people would be using a 16 month old OS and that people were having issues with it. When I was using one of the beta versions of WhatsApp it was smooth and I never had any issues at all.

    Hopefully it gets fixed quickly.

    I am having an issue with the new WhatsApp update (even after the fix).

    Problem:So, I delete a conversation thread in WhatsApp. But then when I go into the hub and compose a message via WhatsApp, it shows the deleted conversation threads. The deleted threads don't appear in the hub, but only when I compose a message via the hub via Whatsapp.

    I have uninstalled/installed, and the problem is still there.

    Anyone else having this problem? Or a solution?

    I am an extremely heavy WhatsApp user. I use the app almost every hour of the day, and I'm in about 25 different (active) groups!

    So if there's an issue, I've most likely encountered it. I'm running the latest stable OS on the Z10, using EE from the UK. There are only 2 issues that I know of:

    1. While typing on any chat, group ir single, WhatsApp decides to just randomly back out to the List of Open Chats page! It's very frustrating, as I'd be typing away, then all of a sudden it brings me back to the Open Chats, and as it happens so fast, I'm still halfway through a message and I click on another open chat. Luckily, when I go back to the original chat, my message is still there and not erased. That would be incredibly frustrating.

    2. WhatsApp finally resolved the video problem! All videos recorded on other phones for some reason displayed sideways on BB10, when sent through WhatsApp. I had no idea why or where this problem came from, but finally glad it has been resolved. It wasn't just my phone either, as my cousin bought a Z10 recently and he had the exact same problem.

    However, now that it has been resolved, another issue has cropped up - when people send videos, the first 5 seconds or so is frozen! It then catches up to the rest of the video. So in order for me to watch the first 5 seconds, I have to wait until it catches up, then rewind the video. It will not play from the beginning on frist try.

    So those are my only two issues with the latest WhatsApp. Anyone else getting them?
