    Hi all,

I keep getting a notification on my Z10 stating 'You need to update your account password for WhatsApp'. When I click open, the accounts screen tries to load bit fails. As far as I know, I don't have a password for WhatsApp!

Anyone else had this problem? Anyone know how to get it to go away?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Delete whatsapp and reinstall. Worked for me

Made backup first, restored fine after reinstall.
    Backup on SD card

That is how it's actually supposed to work. Sometimes when u do a delete the data does not get removed until u do a phone reboot

Encrypted by my Z10 on a 1925 os

    Same here, Z30 on 1925.
However, it doesn't seem to matter, as WhatsApp seems to continue working flawlessly after ignoring the message.

Yeah I don't have a problem using it either, just an odd notification. I had to two hub folder issue too, a reinstall worked for that, but the notification keeps happening.

For me uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work and even when whatsapp is deleted from my phone I still get the notification. Maybe I should remove it from blackberry world as well? Anyone else have any ideas

openwhatsapp.org for what it's worth. However it's still missing the cr in the name.

I loaded this but am still waiting for the registration sms after an hour.... seems I'm right about the cr after the s.

I might need to lose my mates who won't load BBM.

While openwhatsapp is good I still prefer the official app. Hopefully we can get a fix soon because WhatsApp is aware of the issue as you can see here.

This method worked for me after trying for weeks, so give it a try hope it helps

    Follow these steps exactly.
    1. Go into Whatsapp and backup the covos even if you have none open. It will say it's backuped automatically just press backup again.

    2. Go into file manager then go to Device/misc/whatapp/backup and then select and delete all of the backups EXCEPT the most recent backup

    3. Now uninstall Whatsapp by holding the icon until it's starts to shake press the garbage can and confirm the delete. At this point DO NOT restart your phone. Open BlackBerry World and download Whatsapp again, open WhatsApp and follow the steps but make sure you restore your back up this last part is important.

Now you should get rid of that annoying hub notification as well as duplicate Whatsapp icons showing in the hub if you had that issue as well.

    Good luck!

I'm getting this notification even AFTER removing Whatsapp. At one point I was getting two, but after removing and reinstalling I only got one. It was getting on my nerves so I removed it. And it's still happening!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've completely removed the app and any folders associated with it but I still get this notification everyday.
