They have Google Maps for BlackBerry already, there's no reason to sideload it.

I don't see it on the regular BlackBerry World. Are you sure?

Copilot from ALK via snap or amazon. Offline maps, active traffic, speed warning, speed cams, alternative routes, clear by turn, select a contact directly from your BlackBerry to navigate, pois, google search, social media check ins. It's not free, but I'm using one licence on a classic, a Z10 and a Q10 at the same time. Have the same licence since iphone 3G times and over al the years with android. Needs a bit time to start, but no crashes.

    Cheers

I use a mix of BeMaps, when I need to get somewhere using public transportation, and NavFree, for driving. Also, Santiago de Chile is one of a few places where I can use 2GIS, as a third navigation tool replacing Yellow Pages (you can search enterprises by area). Quite handy.

Life in pocket works well to, from BlackBerry world, uses google maps, allows you drop pins, search etc. If you ask for turn by turn directions it will open up blackberry maps for it, other then that, it seems to pull from google.

OsmAnd is really great. I'm using it on my Q10 for the past 3 months now here in the Philippines. Offline and is accurate. You can download it thru Amazon store. Try it and it won't fail you.

Unless I'm mistaken, there are no google products at all showing up in my Blackberry World for the Q10. There are a ton of map programs that claim to use Google Maps, but I have yet to try one that works like the real maps program. I downloaded Google Maps directly from the Play store on my device, that seems to work quite well.

So what? There are things to BlackBerry 10 users get for free such as
    - Password Keeper
    - Hub

Or how about the lower cost of BlackBerry phones compared to other Iphones and top Android phones?

All in all, $5 is not a big deal.

ALK Copilot offers 20% Halloween sale.

I downloaded the DACH map for free (7 days trial) from Amazon appstore and purchased the upgrade to lifetime 3d navigation via the in app purchase. Unfortunately I paid the regular price because I bought it in Germany early in the morning and the offer came later the day GRRRRR. Well I'm not nitpicking and everything works good on my Z10. The only thing that really hurts are the android permissions ... I'LL BE WATCHING YOU...

Best online (android port) is Waze, I prefer it's UI, Google maps is a joke, and Waze has more options and gives more info. Btw Google has bought it in 2013.

Best offline and NATIVE is NavFree. I always use it abroad, eg in several European countries.

Now sure why you refer to Google Maps as a joke. Doesn't have as many features as Waze, but it's been reliable for me. Plus, I have much more trouble, crashes, bugs and freezes with Waze (on my Q10) that GM

I like Here navigation. These are the features I like most:

You can download maps and use with no data connection

    Alerts when you are speeding

Here maps website allows you to sync your collections to your device

Cleaner (IMO) user interface than Google maps

I mean the UI is a joke, very basic to me. I have no problem with it, does its job, nothing more. I'm lucky I have no issue with Waze.

I find that the native Maps isn't necessarily reliable since in multiple occasions it took me completely off the way that I needed to go to.
So, do you know a REALLY good app that doesn't cost a lot of money?
I mean, the rest of the world can use Google Maps for free. What about us?

I suggest you to use "HELLO GPS"; simple app!

At first you might see it as a simply GPS Finder ( like I did earlier )

    What's a real good GPS navigation app?-img_20151213_234812.png

But after you swipe from the top -- BOOM -- Google Maps, BlackBerry Maps!!!

    What's a real good GPS navigation app?-img_20151213_234817.png

    Double bonanza ;-)
I loved the way it works exactly to get me from A to B ( on BlackBerry Maps ) and for searching local things ( on Google Maps )!!!

Best part - you can sign in on Google Maps!

    And yes, IT'S FREEEEEE ^_^

    Waze via Snap.

For vehicle navigation no other app has come close for me regarding navigation accuracy, road alerts, and ease of use.

Maps.Me has got me lost a few times due to the open maps not being as updated as the ones used by Waze.

Google maps traffic info I don't find as useful as the crowdsourced info from Waze.

BBMaps just doesn't have the POI and traffic details and since it needs constant data it tends to crap out when you drive through dead spots.

Haven't tried the Navigation app on bbworld.
