Hello, I am a developer and I was looking for the next idea of my application for BlackBerry 10. I would like to make a Reddit app or a Feedly client (but I don't assure anything) , but I want to know which one has more demand. Therefore I created a poll at What app would like to see?, where you can "vote" to express your opinion.

Considering a very good feedly client in gnewsreader already exists, reddit would probably make more sense.

There is already a good reddit app so maybe something that is not yet available??

I am always open to new ideas, I would like these apps because I use these services so therefore I would be able to make better apps and provide a better user experience.

Hi I voted for Feedly because I have many Feedly accounts so if there is already a Feedly client it doesn't matter. But as other app to be developed, I'd like to propose OneNote client because android app doesn't work.
Anyway thanks for your development !

Considering that BlackBerry is (eventually) pushing all consumer app development into the Amazon ecosystem, I would look at what's available for each in the Amazon Appstore currently. My guess is that the market is crowded with more Reddit clients than it is Feedly clients.

Since when does adding the Amazon app store translate into pushing all consumer app development toward them?

    Please explain.

I use gnewsreader and it's an excellent app but I'd love to see something with a prettier UI. Take a stab at Feedly. There are already a few good reddit apps.

    Voted!

I hope I am not too late to vote here. When it comes to native Reddit clients, we only have one. The others have stopped developing so Reddit in Motion is the only one left who is still developing. It is a fantastic app, but currently it does have its limitations and some competition never hurt anyone. I would even pay for one of high quality. My recommendations would be to look into the Reddit is Fun android app and see how many functions you can create in your own app. Upvote/Downvote capability and submissions are a must. Mod functions and mod mail are also in high demand.

Make a reddit one similar to BaconReader. The current one, Reddit In Motion takes too much battery and doesn't cache images and links, plus, it's not as nice as the BaconReader interface.

Even though Reddit In Motion is a very nice app and a big props to the developer.

    There are plenty of both...

There are a ton of apps that are missing in bbword why are you looking to duplicate them?

If you really want one of the 2 your best bet is feedly. There is a larger feedly audience out there. You can also implement inatapaper, pocket, readability and etc.

There is already fully featured simple clients but they have no visual appeal

I would like to make one of these apps because I use them on daily basis. I have tried gNewsreader but it does not satisfy me (especially visually) . Reddit in Motion is good, but it misses some features. So if there is a high demand for these I will make one of them.

I'd go with Feedly. I also use gnewsreader but I agree it's visually austere.

A deep and awesome-looking Reddit app. The Reddit In Motion works wonders but there should be something more feature-packed than that, like the Reddit Now on Android.

I would not say he isn't interested. Send him an email. I'll admit my last email went unanswered, but I didn't ask any questions. Just sent him an FYI. Every other email I've sent has been replied to with appreciation and saying he will look into them. BlackBerry development takes time since it's a side job for most.

I anxiously await it's next update

The survey didn't help, as the result is 50/50. Therefore I am going to base my decision on the APIs provided and the potential number of downloads.
There is also the possibility I start another project (eg. Tapatalk, Onenote)
