I am not expecting any to beat out BB Traffic, however it is a good basis of comparison.

Would be great if it also gave multiple routing choices with traffic info.

Simply the more users using a system, the more accurate the traffic data will be. So who has the most devices on the road - Garmin? Magellan? TomTom? Google? OpenStreetMap? NAVTEQ?

Dedicated GPS units... I'd say Garmin was the clear leader.
Built in Systems part of a cars infotainment system... not sure.
Mobile users, it has to be Google - even Apple and BlackBerry users want Google Maps.

So if you want an app for a mobile device that has the most up to date traffic info... Google Maps is probable the best. There is a thread here on how to get it to work....
