    Hi,

I am excited/nervous for the upcoming BB10 phones. I have been thinking seriously to flopping over to an iPhone since it would reduce my tech footprint of carrying two devices with me wherever I go (BB9900 & iPod Touch). I keep the iPod since it has a great deal of apps I use regularly. However, if a big portion of them are getting ported to BB10, that makes my life easier in choosing to stick with BB. Is there a list of confirmed apps coming to the platform, or do we need to start a list in the forums?

Of interest, I am looking at Flipboard, a version of Facebook matching what's on iOS/Android, Instagram, Google+, a much better version of Evernote, Pocket, Instapaper, Waze, Mint, & Dropbox.

    Thanks,

    Dan

All of the Blackberry Playbook applications(30,000+) for sure and if its not there then look on the forums for an Android version to side load.

No, not all PlayBook apps will be BB10 compatible.
I'll be porting all of my apps to BB10.

You could always ask alec saunders(vp of dev relations) on twitter. He most likely won`t tell you if it will be there at launch but at least make sure he has it in the back of his mind that those apps are some of the ones that are wanted to be available for launch. As well there will be dropbox and facebook has already been demoed and it is very good. (similar to ios and android but with that BB10 Cascades flare).

Don't we have a thread on this already with someone who kept updating the BB 10 app list? I know we do....because I have seen it.

PS for OP flipboard is available for sideloading now,so hopefully it will continue to work, or better still get a native version.

my guess is that the big names that are essential for US success are being ported at the moment and will be available for March when the device launches over there.

Hence the reason for the UK and europe launch (we like bb) leaving the states until when they have the apps that are being asked for by all the bb hating sites.

one thing you can guarantee is that no matter what apps they bring though, there will always be that 'killer app' that 'struggling' Blackberry will be missing. This kind of hating stuff really frustrates.
