Everything is good after os upgrade, except the measurement unit setting. I changed it to km but it goes back to mile everytime I restart the app. Never had this issue on the old version os. Tried uninstall/reinstall, but the issue won't go away.

    Any idea?

If you don't mind sideloading, there's a newer version of Waze that actually has more features (although I think the clock is still the wrong time zone). It worked for well for me on 10.2 though I've never tried changing to km

Did you get it from Google Play?

Since I don't have an android device, I can't download anything from there. If you can, that's the easiest way. I just went to Google Play to find out what the latest version is, like for example 6.0.12 (I just made that up), then I Google "Waze 6.0.12 apk" and find a download link from there.

Does make you wonder how much effort it would be for Waze to release that version in the App World.

I'm having the same issue, changes to miles every time I reboot my phone or leave waze for more than 12hrs! I'll try sideloading the android version. And yes, this issue only started after upgrading to 10.2

Hey, so I downloaded the Waze apk with snap, it didn't work (wouldn't initialize past the splash screen), so I deleted it, now the Waze that I downloaded from blackberry doesn't work. I've deleted and reinstalled both many times and nothing works. Any thoughts are appreciated. I just want Waze back, new version or old

    Thanks!

I installed Waze from Snap yesterday. The first time I ran Waze after installing it it took a good five minutes for the app to be usable. I thought it was frozen but I just left it as the active app while I went about to do other things. When I came back it was up and running. I think it had a lot to initialize the first time through.

Now it starts up just as fast as the old one one from BlackBerry World.

Oh and one more thing. While the splash screen was active I remember I did a swipe from the top of the screen down to activate the android menu. The the screen to accept terms showed up.

Might have been a coincidence but worth a try for you if it really does look stuck on the splash screen.
