I appreciate that he has made this app but using the excuse that blackberry changed something in 10.2 and he can't fix it is a pretty lame excuse in all honesty.

Surely shao can either recode or redo the app to make it work with 10.2. If other devs can make their apps work with 10.2 then why can't he?? Like I said it seems like a lame excuse and a bug finger to his fans on here.

Anyhow I'm hoping he finds a way to fix it, at the moment I'm not using the app because of that popup but if an update is pushed out then I'll start using it again.

I'm currently using the Verizon official 10.1 OS, but if I had to choose using an app over a new OS.....well that goes without saying, new OS. Is there at least a workaround??, I really like the app

Understood, but did you know there's no way to implement this without dealing with wallpapers?

There's no API to let an app draw on the screen like that. There's also not even any way to get access to the current wallpaper image. That leaves you with needing to let the user select their desired wallpaper from within the app, and the app draws on top of it and uses the "set wallpaper" API as the way to get the "superbar" onto the screen. It's a hack.

Fair enough, not really having a pop at him. I just hope he somehow fixes it soon as I love the app.

The first headless app is out in BB World. It allows for different wallpaper on lock and home screen.

It runs headless, however it too suffers from the pop-up notification that "wallpaper has been set".

It is somewhat ridiculous that something that worked exceptionally well for many years on BB7, BB6, and BB5 is now such a headache more than a year into BB10.
