Same here. Previously I had Viber downloaded from Snap. I deleted that and installed version from BlackBerry World and can't get past entering my phone number!

If I reinstall the version (which is older) from Snap it works!

It is the same dat you can get in google play.
It is a android app no blackberry app

To fix the problem you have to install the Android version, go to settings, find the option to deactivate the account, delete app and then download from BlackBerry World.

Viber needs to **** off with their **** android ported app. Had they made a proper app for BB10, there'd be no need for any of us to have to do all the crap now required to make it work.

Imagine, these bastards toyed with us for however long, acting like what they had was some prized Must Have, only to present us with a dysfunctional application.

All proper BlackBerry enthusiasts should abandon this POS app, IMHO. Let them stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

the way i see it bbm is not a real competitor... no windows phone client, no desktop client, pain to use for most people as it doesnt automatically discover your friends by phone numbers... once bbm gets a desktop client ill be happy to finally make the switch from skype and viber and my friends as well as BBM itself is a lot better for messaging with its features like sending geo locations and such, but without a desktop client its just not competition to anything

It's good to use for free but should services that ask for payment for premium service make native platforms? I think so and personally I will not spend any money on Viber Out but I will use the free calls.

I just think it's a matter of respect at the end of the day

I'm even happy with Android port, I've been using it this far. The only thing I hate is that it doesn't turn the screen off when you talk.

But what they installed won't send a text message, so it's useless

I read from the forum here that u are not supposed to delete right away you sideloaded viber first deactivate ur account and thrn delete the app, and after u download the viber app from app world u can log in again without error... it works promise!

I just send a feedback to viber told them that I was downloading an android apk version of viber and now it's available from bbw and I can't deactivated my account because the app crashes when I press the more option button so I can't deactivated my account
They told me delete the android one and reinstall viber from bbw I told them I do that but nothing happens then I ask them to deactivate my account!
That's it, I delet the android app and downloads again from bbw and it open when I click on it without writing my number and this stuff!
