    Hi everyone,

Now that a good number of my WhatsApp buddies are moving to BBM, I have been trying to delete my WhatsApp account prior to uninstalling. However, when I go to settings as per the WhatsApp FAQ, there is no option to delete the account.

Have they screwed over BB10 users, or am I missing something?

Its under account settings of the app? Hang on, on my Q10 it doesn't seem to have that option. Only payment and service expiration. Weird, I have that option for my Note 2.

I think if you just delete the app, it should automatically remove from Hub and phone as well. Wait for a good 1 minute after deleting then reboot

But that still leaves my phone number in their system?

That's the Problem, they have still your number! I cannot delete the WhatsAp account on my Z10 too. Seems this Option is "forgotten" for BB-Devices. Who know's why

Try following: Get the Android version (*.bar) and put it on your phone (Sideload). Login and delete your account. Should be a way.

We strive for feature parity across all the platforms we support. However, being our newest client, it should be understandable that our BlackBerry 10 app hasn't completely caught up yet. Many of our other clients do currently offer features for both account phone number change and account deletion.

Another way is to swap sim card to another phone(non-bbry) change the Whatsapp account number then delete account from there. Switch back and done.

Wow...I forgot I posted about Whatsapp here. One of the updates added the account deletion feature and I'm now enjoying the WhatsApp-free life! Thanks WhatsApp! :-)

How to delete your WhatsApp account on Blackberry Q10 (solution).

    Open WhatsApp on Home Page.

SWIPE DOWN FROM THE TOP OF THE SCREEN TO ACCESS THE SETTINGS (top right hand corner as of June 19, 2016).

Select Settings > Account > Delete My Account. Enter your cellphone #.

    You're done.
