Ultimate Backup was bought and downloaded to my Blackberry Classic.

I then backed up the contacts and the SMS Messages onto an SD Card, which I then inserted into the Samsung S7.

Contacts were restored onto S7 using Ultimate Backup (purchased), whilst SMS Messages were restored onto the S7 using SMS Backup & Restore by Sync Tech (Free App).


These were the main items I wanted to transfer to my new phone, but now am also looking at transferring WhatsApp chats to my new phones.

I managed to create a WhatsApp backup file on my BB Classic, and copied it to the Database Folder in the S7, and all my WhatsApp messages were restored, using the following useful link:

I have now managed to restore Contacts, SMS Messages and WhatsApp chat from my Classic to the Samsung S7.
