Is there by any chance will Google publish a native google map for Blackberry 10 as it did to the legacy device?

I miss google map, if not Waze could too (P/S, IMMA USING Q10, NO WAZE ON BB WORLD)

I have 10.2.1. From here just use SNAP to install Google maps.

    No conversion needed, no sideloading.

And for those on 10.2.1.1925, you can use Amazon app store. No computer needed for side loading Snap bar file.

Of course, I have both and Snap has a lot more options than Amazon, but Waze is available on Amazon.

To be clear, the last Maps that Google made for the legacy BlackBerry was in 2010. They stopped at 4.3, I think. They tried to shut the services for it down a few times since then, but ended up re-enabling it. At least the last time I used it on my old 9800 over 6 months ago, it still worked. Don't really know now.

If somehow BlackBerry makes a big enough comeback this year, they might make a native app. The android versions work pretty well now.

Bemaps being native will keep your screen on while with Google maps side loaded, the screen will dim after a while

I use Google Maps Navigation Beta 6.14. It won't let the screen go dim either.

I like this version because it works best for driving - tilting the map in fake 3D in the direction of travel and keeping the street names large enough to read at a glace. Something that none of the newer Google Maps versions do anymore. BlackBerry Maps doesn't do it either.

I also like that it auto dims the map to night mode at night, where with BlackBerry Maps, you have to manually change it to night mode.

I've never used BeMaps, so I don't know if it offers those other features like tilted navigation view and auto night mode.

I use snap to download all my android apps. If all of you already installed 10.2.1.1925, try Snap. It can connect with google play store directly and download apps, after that just click open installer and install the apk without the need to convert it first.
