Seem fair for me. Tested most of these app and my opinion pretty much reflects Telegram one.

Your code must be released under an open source license.
Still today i haven't seen any source code from the winners.

Most people won't care but this doesn't sound very secure, it puts me off from using it http://blog.zimperium.com/telegram-hack/

Telegram announced a competition for devs to develop a BlackBerry 10 Telegram client months ago with a cash prize of 50k.

I think this is the best way to start getting official big name apps on board. The response to this is now we have 6 telegram clients on BBW!

Which do you guys prefer? Here are all the apps with my first impressions.

Unofficial Telegram, I believe is a direct port of the official Telegram, its a finished app but its slow. It does have working push notifications though.
Unofficial IM App for Telegram - BlackBerry World

Bonogram, I think this and pintagram are the best so far
    bomogram - BlackBerry World

DianBao, looks like a desktop version of telegram on your phone.

Pintagram, excellent and definitely has a native feel. I think this here is the winner.

TB10, most different layout, written in native code and interpreted differently compared to the rest.

Telegrann, brought to you by the developer who brought us igrann
Telegrann - Client for Telegram (Unofficial) - BlackBerry World

I hope blackberry can persuade more devs to participate in these competitions.

I couldn't get five of the six to get the Secured Chats to work. Only the unofficial version (direct port) worked but you have no control over app permissions.

That's not bad. Just keep a strong password for your device and monitor who has access to it.

This would not protect you, it is referring to the very poor security practices and lack of response from telegram. As it mentions this can be done remotely.

Well unfortunately telegram is our only IM end2end encryption option at the moment.
