    Dear crackberians,

Could someone Who has a Twitter account be so kind to request the people @Telegramm (https://twitter.com/telegram) to port the Android version of the app to BB10. For them it shouldn't be to much of a hassle and it would be a great addition to BlackBerry World.

Installs fine o 1925 and 2141 a pain that it had to be opened as active frame for it to run.

I don not how just how i would be able to (never sent anyone an old fashioned telegram), plus sending a telegram is expensive, sending a tweet isn't.

    I've send them a tweet.

"guys, what about a #BlackBerry10 app?".

If I hear something about them I'll post it here.

"We don't have a dedicated iPad app yet". This might be a next step.

"We also have an open API for developers, should you want to build your own applications for other platforms. In the meantime, get your best friends to switch back to iPhones and Androids and use desktop computers". Perhaps some dev should use their open API and build a native app for BB10.

They're kicking's BlackBerry's ****. BBM should've advertised like Telegram's being advertised at the moment. My FB feed is full with people who dropped WhatsApp and installed Telegram since FB took over WhatsApp. Sad!

If this is going to replace WhatsApp, it better be native or stay away completely. Why? Integration!

I didn't try telegram tbh, but I prefer BBM over all. Don't care about WhatsApp much and other chat applications

It seems to be working pretty good and fast. And it has a lot of features. What I am curious about is the read confirmation.

    On their website they mention:
One tick ? message sent (and is on our server, waiting for your friend to open Telegram), notification sent (your friend is notified, if he receives notifications).
Two ticks ? message read (your friend opened Telegram and opened the conversation that had the message).

So it seems they really show the read status.

I've been using the Android app lately and BBM is so much better, unfortunately BBM carries BlackBerry's name and a lot of people don't like that. BlackBerry should market BBM way more.

AI can't get any one to move to BBM. Seems like most ppl are switching to either Threema or Telegram.

A native Telegram app would be great.

Silly question... why run it headless? Can we get notifications in the hub from Android apps that are not official ports?

Edit: oh, now I see it. But I think it's better not getting any notifications at all than receiving them through this method.

Why not stick with BBM? Because most of my contacts own an Android or an iPhone (I did suggest they install BBM, but their laughter was heard halfway across the world).

I love my old 9800 but 90% of the folks I connect with own something else - WhatsApp was our bridge. And now everyone is jumping from it.

I have been working on a native Telegram app for BlackBerry 10 for some time now (before the whole Facebook bought WhatsApp scare) and hope to release a first beta in the next couple of weeks (would love to say days but don't want to make and break any promises).
So stay tuned as I plan to go live on Crackberry first of course

BTW. if I have time I will post some UI screenshots to get early feedback on UI improvements!
