Has anyone noticed that since the 10.2 update, the music app is slower than before ?

All my songs ( +1000) are on a SD card...

yes sir! I've noticed, and slowest part is when you skip songs using the headphone buttons, the song skips in like 10sec...... dissapointed, but got used to it

let's wait for 10.3, it could get solved! i'm also sure the size of your music has a lot to do with speed, i have around 20GB of music, that could be one reason...

Well as you have 20 GB, I feel bad for you because the app is surely more slower than mine but like you said let's hope 10.3 will upgrade it or at least makes it less slower...

Noticed it when upgraded to 10.2.1 (I don't remember noticing it in 10.2, I may be wrong on this point however). I also have ~20GB on SD card. Something has probably changed in the way the app handles huge amount of data.

This happens to me too regardless of if I'm using head phones or not. If I skip with the dedicated buttons it's slow, touch screen is slow as well.

I am on a Z10 with core OS 10.2.1.3175 and sys.airtunes version 10.200.1.38 with about 3K songs. It is running pretty snappy and I would say quicker than the previous version I had. I do not skip songs often (every song on my phone is a smash hit!) but I have not typically had any lag when I do.

SD card or device memory?
