If you are looking to pause your BlackBerry music player for a set period of time or skip commercials on internet radio you may be listening to, well then Skipper is for you. Ever been so busy listening to internet radio and pause it during the commercials and forget to press play again? Let Skipper skip the commercial and you don't have to press play when your custom break is up. For example, I listen to an internet talk radio while I work that has commercials. I just open Skipper, set it for 3 minutes(the default duration) and press the Skip button. The music is stopped automatically and then starts up after the 3 minutes, almost perfectly the whole duration of the commercial. Got the FM radio on your BlackBerry Music Player? Works with that too. Known to work with BlackBerry Music player(music and FM), Nobex, rad.io and I Heart Radio.

    Price: $0.99

Caveat: during Skipper's duration media services are busy so you cannot make BBM voice messages, play music, play videos, nor play voice notes. You can press the Cancel button to release media services once again.

OK. Thanks for the information about this app. I would think that pausing BBM services, etc would be a bit of a drawback, but maybe some people would be interested....especially if they listen all day long at their desks.

BBM Voice Notes. Texting is fine.

There's no way around this. Just the way it has to be. I have yet to have it be a problem though. Skipping usually is tops 3-4 minutes and I'm usually doing something else while listening. I had to give the caveat as a good citizen-developer. I do think it will have its audience for big internet radio/FM listeners like myself! I usually make apps that I myself would enjoy and indeed I'm using Skipper throughout the day!
