[BFB] Sweep: Use gestures to automate common tasks.

Summary:
A full touch device makes it hard to do the tasks you do often efficiently. Since there are no physical keys, it may take several steps to open a file you want, or call someone, or go to a specific website.

To help you get around this problem, we wrote Sweep. This app allows you to register an unlimited combination of gestures and keys to perform various tasks on your phone. Examples of these tasks are to call your contacts, or open your favourite website, or open your favourite media, or start a BBM conversation/call. You can also use it to launch other apps like a specific screen of the BB10 Settings app.

The gestures can be as simple or as complex as you like. For example you can set that swiping down twice calls your friend Ahmed. You can also set that swiping down only once will call Abdullah. You can set that swiping down, then swiping up, then swiping right opens website AbdurRahman.org :: Aqeedah & Manhaj of the Salaf-us-Saalih :: Ahlul-Hadith :: Islam Knowledge : Salafi Creed. You can set swiping down, then pressing the physical key 'L' starts a BBM Video call with Leila. The possibilities are endless!

Features:
1. Gestures supported: Swipe up, Swipe down, Swipe Left, Swipe Right, Swipe DownLeft?, Swipe DownRight?, Swipe UpLeft?, Swipe UpRight?, Pinch, Tap, DoubleTap?, physical keys.
2. Quick focus: If the app is kept in active frame mode (backgrounded), pressing the Play/Pause toggle physical button (in between the volume up and volume down keys) immediately brings the app back to focus so you can do your gestures and launch your shortcuts quickly. There is no need to go back to your home screen and try to launch the app every time you need it!
3. Dial a contact's phone number from your address book using any combination of gestures/keys.
4. Launch a website using any combination of gestures/keys.
5. Launch a BBM Chat, or BBM Voice Chat, or BBM Video Chat using any combination of gestures/keys.
6. Compose an email or SMS message for a contact using any combination of gestures/keys.
7. Open a file (media, document, or any file that can be opened in BB10) using any combination of gestures/keys.
8. Launch many BB10 Settings directly by using any combination of gestures/keys.
9. Edit existing recorded gesture sequences you created and delete them.
10. Active frame tile and the main screen shows a summary of all the recorded shortcuts.
11. Smooth animations and visual feedback as the gestures are being performed and keys are pressed.
12. Ability to control processing delay to adjust to how fast the user is able to perform the gestures, and press the keys.

The shortcuts don't work if the app is showing as an active frame rather than full screen. I have tried pressing the mute button as advised in the first post. Please advise.

Hi, thank you for your reply. v2.0.0.0 of the app is what allows it to be focused via the mute button. However, v2.0 is in pending state and awaiting approval from BlackBerry. As soon as they approve it you should receive the update on BlackBerry World and this should be working for you. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Ok great, thanks for the quick reply. I was confused as this was mentioned on the original description in the post in may.

I have the new version and the mute button works well.

Is there any way different apps can be opened such as the cb10 app or if a more complicated command such as turning on airplane mode can be done directly rather than just going to the settings area?

Any chance we could specify which app to open urls in?

I'm not really sure how to use the website from the link above but I would like to see evolution browser integrated if possible please.
