Happy to report the latest version is now working for me on 3G/HSPA+.

Glad to hear. While the app does have some limitations, the developer is extremely responsive and attempts to resolve the various issues raised. I don't think it is always easy or possible to resolve the issues in 24 hours, but at least the developer(s) is/are trying and that is as good as we can ask for.

SayIt is still CRASHING every time I say "Play Music!" I've mentioned this a couple times and the dev just ignores it?? I am on 10.1 NOT 10.2 I know others are having the same problem.

When night say "play music " SayIt responds with "sorry there is no song on your device "
All of my music is on a media card. Does SayIt not recognise media cards?

I vaguely remember the app was updated to access files in media card now.

Maybe I just haven't found it but... is there a way to send SMS text messages with SayIt? I got it thinking it would and that's my primary reason for having SayIt. But I haven't yet figured out how to do so.

    Thanks!

No. It doesn't. Because the native VC takes care of that and third party apps can not access those features.
I believe that in the app description, it does not mention sms.

You have to do that through the native voice rec system. Works well. Also if you hold the "." key it launches the native voice dictation from any app.

    Lots of bugs for me!
    Running 10.1 with 4g connection.
    1. Can't find what I would consider popular songs.
    2. Very sensitive to sentence structure when asking a question.
    3. Returns incorrect results.
    4. I don't see any way to turn off or pause a song if it is playing within SayIt
    5. Won't play any music on my device or on memory card (just abruptly crashes) and I don't see any option for choosing either device or memory card for searching music

Instead of "What time is it in", try "What's the time in". For the "Led Zeppelin stair way to heaven", try "play stair way to heaven by Led Zeppelin",
For "play imagine dragons radioactive" try "play radioactive by imagine dragons" instead, For "Katy Perry fireworks", try "play firework by Katy Perry"
To stop a song which is playing, press the record button or the "Input command" button
We will add an option to search on internal device memory or SDCard

Ok thanks for the response. It is more sensitive to sentence structure than I thought. The music works now (plays about a 30 second sample) but still very inconsistent with time zone results.

Did you force change button behavior in last update? I epic failed trying to demo Sayit only to find the button setting was back to hold instead of tap talk tap. Pissed me off to no end.

When asked "speed of sound", it will read out "m/s" as meters per second but then also read out the (meters per second). You only need to say the units once.

I'm aware of that. I'm asking if you force changed it. You either did and didn't mention it in release notes, or you didn't and I am mistaken on what the setting was last.

My recollection was that it was set for tap-talk-tap and touchless sensing was enabled. So either I'm remembering wrong, or you applied settings on top of my previous settings.

The Settings for the record button behavior was available in the previous release, not this release and also there was a release note for it

Yes, I am aware of the OPTION, I even quoted it in a previous post. I am saying, I *thought* I was configured for tap-talk-tap when I last used this app. The next time I used the app, after it updated the other day, I *think* the setting got automatically changed to tap+hold without me doing it.

The assumption for ANY upgrade, is that configured settings are preserved, and new settings get defaulted. So either I am mistaken that it was last configured for tap-talk-tap, or the app changed my setting without me wanting it changed.

If you still don't know what I'm asking, forget it and hopefully it doesn't happen again.
