We use salesforce.com (SFDC) to manage our entire business. We currently use the SFDC mobile app for OS7 and would upgrade to BB10 in a second if there was an app available.

Does anyone know if there is anything in the pipeline? I know salesforce.com and RIM were on stage together last year, but haven't really heard anything since.
I do know that salesforce.com is planning an HTML5 mobile site, but it is not yet available. They have an older Android mobile app... has anyone tried porting that over?

Any assistance or info would be appreciated

I've had no luck sideloading a Chatter or SFDC app to date. Still hunting.

In the meantime, if you're a SF user, head over to their community and vote for this request/idea for BB10 support (and share the link and encourage your users to vote for it too - it needs plenty more vote love to get their attention).

Otherwise, all I've heard - wrapped in safe harbor - is that the HTML5 Touch app should be coming at some point.

Unfortunately it became very quiet around Salesforce.com and BB10. We also use SFDC and also need a native app urgently. The browser on the Z10 can help getting some very urgent stuff done, but it's obviously far away from the user experience of a native app where you can export contacts, meetings, tasks etc. to your blackberry. Hopefully Salesforce.com is listening... In the meantime everyone please go and vote: request/idea for BB10 support

Not sure what is going on. But it seems crazy that SF is not on top of this. With so many corporate customers sure to be on this platform, how could they not support it.

The senior brass in the fortune 500 will be using the Z or Q 10.. most can not really communicate efficiently on an iphone.

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything from sfdc yet. Looking at the hub, it seems like a perfect opportunity for Chatter integration right on the device. Fingers crossed.

I was talking to our SFDC rep on Thursday about this. She said that there are no current plans for BB 10 chatter and SFDC apps, and she directed me to touch.salesforce.com which is html5 and works quite well on the Z10's browser.

Don't let them off the hook though, make sure you talk to your SFDC account manager and get them to put the request in to product management! Personally, I'd love to see Chatter in the hub!

I thought the whole premise of SFDC was to get away from actual apps? It is used at the company I work for as well and we solely use the online site. I too had wished they made an "app" but with HTML5, they wanted to build an online app, or at least that was what I had thought. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Everyone please go and vote for this. 190 points has no visibility within SFDC. And also keep pressing your reps... that would certainly help getting visiblement with their product management.

@JonFraser1965 Hi Jon, there is no firm date for the official support yet. Please make sure to add this to our IdeaExchange!

A few tweets of note that aren't painting a rosy picture. The short answer seems the HTML5 Touch app for BB10 is on the horizon at some point - and as great as that is, there's still no timeline to be found anywhere.

"not yet I'm afraid. I understand that we will have Salesforce Touch available for BB10 in the future #safeharbor"

Ironic. Since i think BBRY uses SF internally (though I am not sure to what degree).

Any updates on side loading the Android app?

I tried the touch version on an iPad and it was great

I hope to avoid having to carry an iPad mini for apps I miss on my (soon to get) Q10

    I voted.

    Fingers crossed.

Can you access touch on any browser? If so - exactly how? (Please!!!)

How is the web version on the Z10 anyway?

(I could probably scrape by using it)

As of the recently released Winter '13 release notes, it appears the Touch apps and mobile browser app are still iOS only for now.

There is a workaround for Android where using the Dolphin Browser you're able to access the Browser based Touch. I'm going to try side loading Dolphin to see if that get us there.

As for the standard browser experience, it's not altogether awful. But certainly not as user friendly as a native app.

Again pure speculation but I was at a salesforce event in Toronto last week and discussed this with them directly.

Was told blackberry is a massive user of salesforce and that it is shameful no app for BB10 exists and will be remedied in the near future.

Right now I am using the bridge on my Z10 and access SF with my PlayBook but that is obviously very bulky.
I don't think SF has any current plans to develop an App. They had a senior SF exec (Clarence So) on stage with Thor and stated it would be HTML5. It was during the Keynote of BlackBerry World 2012.

Maybe if we make enough noise it will get attention but when I just voted it made it only 58 votes.

Quite disappointing! Any ideas how we can promote this much more effective? Kevin? Bla1ze? Anyone willing to help the ultimate business device to finally get some support from salesforce.com?
