I've been attempting to record presentations using a combination of BlackBerry Express, screen recording software, and StoryMaker.
The problem I keep running into is that the bottom portion of my presentations ends up being chopped.
This seems to be an issue with StoryMaker since the original video of the screen is not chopped off. Does anyone know how to prevent StoryMaker from cropping the video at the bottom?
I have tried these apps separately but have not tried them together as you are doing. Are you saying that the BB Express app records in such a way that in StoryMaker the dimensions are incorrect? I would have no idea how to fix something like that.
No, the presentation from Express is recorded correctly. The problem arises when the video is chosen as media in StoryMaker. StoryMaker seems to crop the video at the bottom.
Problem is the screen ratio, so the q10 screen is being stretched to fit the story maker wide screen, but in the process of fitting left to right, the top and or bottom gets cut off, there's really no way around it, but if you have a z10 or z30 and record in landscape, the issue should be fixed.
Just to clarify, your saying the video capture of your q10 screen is being cropped out when putting it in story maker rite?
What if you get your screen capture, then go to the video app, playback the video, and in the top right corner you can change the screen ratio of the playback, there's 3 options, choose the one that ends up having the most black border possible all around the video. The video will look almost minimized or very small, but then do another screen capture of the playback, once you get this, take the "capture of the capture" and add it to story maker, then in story maker you can crop the video so that you get rid of the black border on the top and bottom of the clip, it will zoom the video to fit, but you will have the black border on the left and right, can't get rid of that.
I have not done this myself, it is just a theory that may work as a work around
