I have always loved Poynt and will get it for my Z10. I was using yellow pages to get me by in the mean time.

This was always one of my favorite apps on all my legacy BB's. I tried the sideload, and that didn't work. This one works, but appears really buggy. Weather doesn't work, movies don't work, and I've had 3 crashes and a restart in 5 tries.
The other major problem I've having is the maps- it will interact with Google Maps, which is great, but I haven't found a way to do real time navigation. Anyone figure out if that is an option?

Big Poynt fan here having recommended it to many, However, must say I'm disappointed with this Android port. Although I haven't had any problems with the movies feature or crashing, it is very sluggish. Can't change the map used (with the legacy BB you could change the settings to use the BB native maps) and as garpt mentioned there doesn't seem to be a way to route to a destination from your current location (will only show location on Google maps launched in the browser).

Will probably still use it but can't say I'd recommend it as I did with the previous versions. I don't mind Android ports but only if they perform well. This one seems to be a step down from previous legacy BB versions.

Seems to be about 90% there with a port. This is great compared to yesterday when most of us thought Poynt was dead and would never come to OS 10!! My list of missing apps is getting very, very short.

That's good news. I've always liked Poynt. I hope they comes back soon.

Movies work for me, but oddly it doesn't show that Iron Man 3 is playing at NCG, Acworth on Friday. Albeit online is clearly shows the times etc. Weird...

Why are people saying this is slow and leggy? Runs extremely smoothly on 10.1 with improved runtime

Finally, the ONE app I was missing from my 9900 is here! One of my favourite apps and I must say it's running fine here in Toronto. Everything works, the weather, movies, etc, it certainly doesn't feel sluggish either. I wonder if it's a regional thing?

I usually hate android ports but the reason why this one runs so well is because it actually is a port running on the OS itself instead of the android player.

Everything seems to work at the exception of movies in which it had a location issue. Also noticed it's not in carousel form like it was on my Torch.

My movie section says something about being unable to search for movies between May 2nd and May 9th, why I'm not sure. It won't let me go past the 8th though so I can't even check to see if it works past this issue.

They changed the carousel look for the regular android app some time ago. I have it on my son's GS2. It started out with the same carousel UI that the pre-BB10 app has, but was changed a few updates later. I still use Poynt on my 9800 and still works fine, and still has the carousel UI. Kind of disappointed that this versions UI keeps the android UI as it's kind of boring. I don't have a Z10 yet, but just keeping up with what's coming up for when I do get it.

I liked how you could spin the carousel by flicking your finger across the screen. When the android version had it, the spin would immediately stop once your finger left the screen.

I wonder if they are working on a native version and will bring the carousel back.

Does this version let you do a reverse lookup of a number that called you from the phone app like the old Poynt does?
