I have seen something similar on a previous device but I can't remember if it was my Nokia n97 or something else but I really enjoyed using it so pleased you are doing something similar. If you tap or double tap on a photo does it take it full screen?
Are the photos held within the app or just accessing a folder which is just presented this way?

Maybe you think to Cooliris ? It's the idea of this concept. Need to work to get the same result in adding cloud support, Google image search... and others tweaks.
First tap on a photo permits to move the camera on a photo. And second tap permits to switch to fullscreen. (I'm going to improve this) when you are enough near of a photo, PhotoWall shows a high resolution of this photo.

By default, show all photos. But you can choose a specific folder in using PlayCloud (free or paid).
In a next release, I'll add a standalone album support.
Time to speak about the PhotoWall roadmap... of course if you didn't already read my post on BlackBerry Channel.
I'm rather proud of PhotoWall application in particular about HDMI device integration. Now I can share photo easily without show my screen and my private stuff to my public. Indeed, I'm able to choose the photo to add on the 3D wall projected on the TV screen ; I'm able to launch a slideshow and continue to use my mobile, read mails... or others.
But ! it isn't enough... I want to :
- improve drastically the thumbnail loading (should be easy... just need time) ;
- improve application integration in using BlackBerry 10.2 OS (just waiting the release)
- integrate PhotoWall to PlayCloud to browse my cloud storages (of course !!!)
- add album photo manager (if you don't want to use PlayCloud even, if it works with the free release)
- add exif viewer / editor
- ...
- your feature requests ?
- AND do more that only a wall... a Pise tower ? why not
I think to implement the same album photo concept that I have discovered long time ago !
If you have requests, ideas or more... you can contact me. I'm only at the first step
Does the user select the folder location of the photos? Can we select different folders?

To select a different folder, please use PlayCloud (free or paid). You will be able to launch PhotoWall from a specific folder (long press a photo and "open with").
Folder (or album) in standalone will be supported in the next release. In waiting you have to use PlayCloud.
