Hey, quick question, apps that were avaliable on the older BlackBerry world ( curves, bolds etc) is there anyway to get them on the bb10? As there are a few apps I liked but cannot find them on the app world

Unless there was an app made for BlackBerry 10, there is no way to run those apps. BlackBerry 10 doesn't run old BlackBerry apps, because they are two complete different operating systems and one is based on Java and the new one is based on QNX. Also user interface is different for both, so the old apps would look weird on the new interface.
You can however see if there is an Android equivalent of the app and see if it works on your BlackBerry 10 device

Ok just the answer I was looking for thankyou!

I've had a look but the only thing that annoys me is along the bottom you have the black bar with the back button at the end, anyway to get rid of this?

Depends what OS you are on. On Some it can be disabled by swiping down from the top and clicking it. Iirc it was removable on official 10.1, became non-removable on official 10.2, but will be removable on OS 10.2.1 again (already is removable on current leaks).
