Question for those downloading this for the first time (like me). I keep getting the error message that it is an outdated version after I input my phone number. It then leads me back into BBW to download the update but obviously BBW has the most up to date version available so there is no update. Is there a work around for this?

Thanks! I honestly have no recollection of using the app before but I may have downloaded it onto my iPhone ages ago. I will have to try that work around.

As I mentioned in said thread, open/register the account with the Android apk, go through the whole setup and then do it with the BB10 app. I was getting the same error, give it a shot.

Can I just download the apk through the Whatsapp site or do I need to install the Playstore?

I've used the one available from their web page. You'll only need it for setting up your account. Once it's registered and running, switch to the BB10 app and do the setup.

Two days ago I have bought an BlackBerry Bold 9900 with OS 7.1 package 2807.

When reading on the internet that WhatsApp has extended their using for BBOS 7+ , I stood up and directly started downloading WhatsApp, but then when the downloading finished and I was setting up my WhatsApp it said my phone is too old and I should switch to another phone, because WhatsApp doesn't support my device anymore.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Because it normally needs to work on my 9900 for extending of Whatsapp on my phone...

    Anyone please help..

    Thanks!!!
